My 3 week old gets really gassy and uncomfortable after feeding and even though I burp her, she still spits up quite a bit or shes crying from discomfort. It has gotten to the point where I cant put her down because she'll be uncomfortable and start arching her back/crying. I have to hold her up right or lay on my chest for her to sleep and Im strugglingg.
I want to get one of those incline mattresses but apparently its not safe. What should i dooo ? Pls help

I’d go to your doctor and ask advice. We were told to incline my daughter’s bed cause of her reflux but guess it depends on the issue and if it will help or not. Infacol / gripe water really helped us when she was a few weeks old and she’s now 9 months and I still use at every feed xx

We’re going through the same thing. After burping, she sits elevated on my chest for at least 30 minutes up right and then we do bicycle kicks and gas exercises until she gets it out. Takes a lot of time but has helped so much

Look into safe chest sleeping

We had a bassinet that would Incline on either side! That helped my daughter so much.

Before we got that bassinet, when we were desperate we would roll à blanket kind of half way, and tuck it under the top side of her mattress so her head was somewhat more elevated than her feet atleast

We were told by our midwife to sleep our little one on a slight incline due to spitting up and reflux, and some of the newer bassinets have ‘reflux modes’ where you can put it easily on a slight tilt. It’s not steep enough he rolled down the bed at all, but it definitely helped with his reflux
So we only have this problem at night and it’s only a recent thing. So my son has been feeding a lot at night. Every 2 hours or so and completely emptying both sides before going back to sleep. This means his nappies at every wake up are extremely full. Every time I change him he pees or there is so much in the nappy it ends up all over his back and I have to change his clothes. I have tried a tissue over, I’ve tried putting the new nappy on and pulling the old one from under it (I guess like the knicker trick some of you may have done as kids) and it is still everywhere. I’m already exhausted getting up so often and having to do a full clothing change at night is a nightmare… please help!

My 3 week old takes at least 1-2hrs to fall back asleep after her midnight feed, any tips to get her to sleep quicker? I rock her til my arms fall off, she doesn’t give a shit about white noise and startles herself awake a lot 😩 and any tips on transferring her to her cot without her waking up cos her sweaty head was sticking to my arm would be grand too! Thank you. ❤️

Anyone else get anxiety towards the end of the day knowing their baby is going through a sleep regression? We are trying to sleep train him and night 1 went amazing, while night 2 was worse than the NB trenches.. I can literally feel my heart racing as the clock approaches his bedtime 😭 I don’t know if we should just accept that we are in the thick of it and try to sleep train him later or keep going?? Any advice helps PLEASE!!
(If you are anti-sleep training please scroll past this post as my husband and I have already decided we 100% are sleep training.)
