Long story short.. I’ve been with my husband for 10 years.. we have an almost 5 year old and a 5 week old baby. 2 days ago he’s told me he doesn’t want to be married anymore that he has been thinking about it for a while and thinks this is the right the decision for him.
About 2 weeks before that he told me was struggling and depressed and he called the GP to get a therapist.
Motherhood has been hard for me because I’m not from the UK so my family lives abroad. My only support is his family which they are fantastic but we even work with each other at the family business.
I think I’ve wrapped myself in motherhood so much that I forgot to be a wife and now he wants to separate.
Anyone else dealing with this? What do you do when your life is in flames. What do you do when the love of your life has decided to break it all off.
I’m devastated !

I'm really sorry you are going through this. Perhaps he has "postnatal depression" ? It affects fathers too. And if he's depressed he should not make any important decisions. The therapist will tell him this. Maybe not all is lost ! Have you spoken to his dad or mum ?
So we only have this problem at night and it’s only a recent thing. So my son has been feeding a lot at night. Every 2 hours or so and completely emptying both sides before going back to sleep. This means his nappies at every wake up are extremely full. Every time I change him he pees or there is so much in the nappy it ends up all over his back and I have to change his clothes. I have tried a tissue over, I’ve tried putting the new nappy on and pulling the old one from under it (I guess like the knicker trick some of you may have done as kids) and it is still everywhere. I’m already exhausted getting up so often and having to do a full clothing change at night is a nightmare… please help!

My 3 week old takes at least 1-2hrs to fall back asleep after her midnight feed, any tips to get her to sleep quicker? I rock her til my arms fall off, she doesn’t give a shit about white noise and startles herself awake a lot 😩 and any tips on transferring her to her cot without her waking up cos her sweaty head was sticking to my arm would be grand too! Thank you. ❤️

Anyone else get anxiety towards the end of the day knowing their baby is going through a sleep regression? We are trying to sleep train him and night 1 went amazing, while night 2 was worse than the NB trenches.. I can literally feel my heart racing as the clock approaches his bedtime 😭 I don’t know if we should just accept that we are in the thick of it and try to sleep train him later or keep going?? Any advice helps PLEASE!!
(If you are anti-sleep training please scroll past this post as my husband and I have already decided we 100% are sleep training.)
