Cough waking him up

My sons got a runny nose and a cough and the cough is only occurring at night when he’s asleep, how can I make him more comfortable of a night?

Last night he was semi-waking every 20/30 mins with him coughing, I’ve got him propped up on pillows in my bed (I’m lying with him constantly) & I’ve given calpol & providing water when he is coughing, what else can I do?

Calpol Vapor plug in, the cough could be because of the excess phlegm from the snotty nose. Put it on 30-60 mins before he goes to bed. Vicks on his chest, if he has a comforter rub a tiny bit on that as well. I also give my little one cough syrup just before bed to try and ease it for the at least first stint of the night! Might not help completely but should assist in helping him breathe a bit clearer which might help the cough

We had this issue for a while and we went to the doctor and he said it might be hayfever! We've started him on piriton (per the doctor's advice) and it's so so much better now. It might be worth going to the doctor if it's a persistent cough!

Nappy changing help

So we only have this problem at night and it’s only a recent thing. So my son has been feeding a lot at night. Every 2 hours or so and completely emptying both sides before going back to sleep. This means his nappies at every wake up are extremely full. Every time I change him he pees or there is so much in the nappy it ends up all over his back and I have to change his clothes. I have tried a tissue over, I’ve tried putting the new nappy on and pulling the old one from under it (I guess like the knicker trick some of you may have done as kids) and it is still everywhere. I’m already exhausted getting up so often and having to do a full clothing change at night is a nightmare… please help!

Tips for sleep…

My 3 week old takes at least 1-2hrs to fall back asleep after her midnight feed, any tips to get her to sleep quicker? I rock her til my arms fall off, she doesn’t give a shit about white noise and startles herself awake a lot 😩 and any tips on transferring her to her cot without her waking up cos her sweaty head was sticking to my arm would be grand too! Thank you. ❤️

Sleep regression anxiety

Anyone else get anxiety towards the end of the day knowing their baby is going through a sleep regression? We are trying to sleep train him and night 1 went amazing, while night 2 was worse than the NB trenches.. I can literally feel my heart racing as the clock approaches his bedtime 😭 I don’t know if we should just accept that we are in the thick of it and try to sleep train him later or keep going?? Any advice helps PLEASE!!
(If you are anti-sleep training please scroll past this post as my husband and I have already decided we 100% are sleep training.)
