I have 3 girls and my last little girl is Harper and I also have a beautiful stepdaughter whose name is paisley.. that’s so crazy

I have a 16 month old called Paisley, decided just before being discharged from the hospital!

My second girl is coming in October tooo yay🩷
My daughter is 4 days old, today her cord has bleed and a few hours later has fallen off.
It is red on her belly button (not sure if it’s slightly swollen or just got a bit of an outy belly button) and there is a small amount of yellow puss inside her belly button.
Is this normal or something I should get checked out?

I just wanted to share a successful VBAC with induction story!
My waters broke at 40+1 but unfortunately labour didn’t progress itself meaning I needed to be induced further. After discussions with my midwives and doctors we decided it would be best to try the hormonal drip. I wanted an epidural straight away but they persuaded me to give the drip an hour before anything. I had the drip and couldn’t feel any contractions for about 2 hours and then contractions were very intense and close together and I was begging for the epidural. I had the epidural and was checked and I was 6cm dilated 🎉 I was then checked 4 hours later and I was 10cm🎉 however after an hour and a half pushing baby was just not coming as I was unable to feel my contractions with the epidural being so strong and babies heart rate kept dipping.
At this point I was told it was c section or forceps delivery with an episiotomy. I opted for the forceps as I was so desperate for my VBAC. We were whisked off to theatre where our baby boy Morgan was born via forceps. I was then told after that the cord was wrapped around Morgan’s neck so it would of been impossible for me to push him out myself anyway
As much as it was still an instrumental delivery I am extremely proud of myself and my body for trying and sticking with my wishes of a VBAC. Do not let the doctors scare you into the very small chance of a uterine rupture 🥰

Currently 15 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing awful back pain, not quite sure why my bumps not that big yet haha. Any recommendations?

38 weeks today and my elective C-section is booked for Friday 28th. I’m feeling really anxious about the delivery now that it’s getting so close.
I know everything will hopefully be okay, but I think the closer it gets, the more real it feels!
I’d love to hear some positive C-section experiences from other mums. How was your experience? Was your recovery okay? What helped you feel calm? And what was it like finally meeting your baby?
