Induction, suspected pre eclampsia, white coat syndrome

Hi all!🥰 So.. at my first booking appointment I had high blood pressure ( stage 1 or 2 hypertension ) but after monitoring at home they put it down to white coat syndrome. I had extreme anxiety because baby was unplanned etc & I hate hospitals. I had my routine antenatal appt on Friday and my bp was 142/92 . On this day I hadn’t slept and generally have more anxiety because I’m so close to my due date. I had to go to triage and be monitored where I got it under 140. I was still absolutely panicking though at the fact they said I might have pre eclampsia, and were talking about what would happen if I do have it. I had to go triage the day after again to have bloods done etc and more monitoring. Again got it under 140 (although still very anxious) I spoke to the doctor who then discharged me without needing meds, I got up and went to tell the midwife’s (doctor told me to) after walking to them to tell them I’m being discharged they said let me just check the bp 1 more time so I sat back down ( at this point I’m riddled with anxiety, after talking to the doctor and her saying my bloods will be back in a few hours I was so worried that something bad may come back) so I sat down and she took again and it was about 146/92. Obviously because I’m so so anxious and have just got up walking around. Doctor comes back and gives me bp medication and discharges me finally. So I’ve been back today for monitoring and bp was around 133/72. My bloods & urine came back completely normal. Baby is growing perfect & placenta normal. But now they’re saying I have to make a plan with the doctor about being induced on my due date. I don’t know what to do, it’s making me feel even worse. I feel like I’m completely fine. If I could just be a bit more calmer in hospital I wouldn’t be in this situation. My at home bp readings are around 111/72 , 115/73, 116/82. I really don’t know what to do, shall I just agree to the induction? Am I putting myself at risk for leaving it maybe to 41 weeks? I mean.. they tell someone with serious anxiety that they may have to be induced, which can be a long painful process and a lot lead to sections , but if I leave it longer my baby could be still birth( I understand they have to tell me what happens) but realistically my bp isn’t going to come down after telling me that 😫😫😫

Yeah I had hypertension and always bp was more heightened at hospital then at home :( I ended up having induction. With pessary and gel then broke my waters after been in hospital for few days xx

i was induced at 38w due to hypertension and high levels of protein in my urine and honestly my induction was amazing! i still got pretty much exactly the birth i wanted. i had the pessary in for the 24hr and then after they took it out my waters broke naturally, i went from 3cm to 10 in 4 hours and he was born after about 7 pushes!! no pain relief either. i was really scared that inductions were meant to hurt more (and i have nothing to compare it to as this was my 1st) but it was definantly tolerable.

it CAN be a long process , but so can natural labor, and natural labor can also result in ECS
try not to worry about the what if’s 🤞

Anyone else due at the very end of September and jealous of the people due at the start 🥲 I’m so ready for this to be over now but I’m only 35w, so jealous reading about the people who are 38/39/going into labour 🥲🥲

2 under 2, SOS😂

Hello, I have a six month old and I’m pretty certain I’m pregnant again (unplanned). I just have no idea what to do! We also have a five year old and always planned to have baby number 3 a similar age gap to the first two. I would love to hear people’s thoughts on 2 under 2, if you’re being so honest would you do it again? Not just it’s great cause I’ve done it and I love my children vibes 😂 I love being a mum more than anything in the world, I want to enjoy motherhood not get to the end of my babies being little and feel like I’ve barely kept my head above water!

Anyone else loosing track of what week they are on?

For some reason I thought I was 30 weeks and it turns out I’m 31w5 😳 I don’t know if it’s just baby brain or because I’m occupied with my toddler but I keep getting my weeks mixed up!

How is everyone getting on? - 33 weeks❤️.

I just wanted to come on here and see how everyone else is getting on…

Except from the not sleeping and the constant need to be nesting at the minute round the house 😂.

I’m super tired but ready for baby now.

Are your hospital bags packed? Baby has had hers done but I haven’t done mine yet. ☺️
