2cm dilated

Unfortunately I'm in almost the exact same thing at 39+1. I went in last night and was told baby is back to back and I'm only 1cm. It's stayed just as painful but not got any stronger today and assuming it's going to be like this for a while 🙄. Hopefully you have better luck 🤞 x

Everyone’s answers will be different. I went from 2-4cm (which I believe is when they’ll admit you as being in established labour) in a few hours, but a friend of mine was stuck at 2cm for about 5 days with her first baby. I would get on your birth ball and do some exercises to help baby move down the birth canal, go on a nice long walk with lots of kerbs, miles circuit etc! Good luck!

With my first I was 2cm dilated for 2 weeks. I just had my second early and I was 2cm for 3 weeks 😅. But I was having constant contractions with both and both were awful pregnancies. The labour with my second was absolutely amazing in the end. But unfortunately your cervix can close back up/stop dilating or it can keep going. Do round circle motions and figure of 8s on a ball, get oxytocin flowing (low lights/music/whatever helps you feel happy or calm) and stay relaxed. Hopefully it wont be too long for you 🤞🤞

With my daughter i was 40+3 weeks and i went into early labour about 5am with contractions and i was 2cm until maybe 3/4pm the following day where i was like 5cm when i went back. I had a MASSIVE nap and when i woke up the contractions were just worse😅 if you have a tens machine i definitely recommend!x

With my first I think it was around 18 hours of contractions before I was in established labour.

Try all you can to get the oxytocin flowing. Fave tv shows, hydrate, nap if you can.
