I know this is silly ... But feel like I failed this pregnancy because of a decision I made with my first

I had my consultation today with regards to this 2nd pregnancy and birth options. With everything going on and previous elective, it was the best decision to book another C-Section. I know based on all the medical info, my anxiety and how hard this pregnancy has been, it's the overall best decision. However.... I feel like because I let fear take over my first pregnancy, that I failed myself this pregnancy 😞 I was hoping for a VBAC at the beginning, but that was before all the issues. I just can't help the disappointment and self blame. Sorry for the rant and open to any advice or what not ❤️

You have NOTHING to blame yourself for. Pregnancy is not easy. Childbirth is not easy. There are complications, difficulties, pains that we go through that no one will understand unless they’ve gone through it to. As long as you are doing your best to keep yourself and baby healthy and safe, you are succeeding. Do what feels right and safe for you. The most important thing is getting you and baby through birth safely and healthily. The delivery method doesn’t matter. You are amazing. You got this. ❤️

You are not wrong and making a good choice for you and baby ❤️ My first was a C-section and so was my second. I have no complaints. And don’t let anyone scare you..second C-section recovery is so much easier since you know what to expect 🙂 I was considering vbac but when it came down to it..I did the C-section. You never fail when you do what’s best for you and baby 😌

You’ve failed no one, don’t let the world tell you otherwise 💜

Even if it were safe for you to have a VBAC there’s no telling it wouldn’t be traumatic for you or the baby, babies get stuck all the time in the vaginal canal and need forceps, vacuum or undergo fetal stress and then you need an emergency c section, you’re making the best decision for you and your baby, you’re doing the opposite of failing your kids. You can still have a magical birth and your baby will still lay on your chest loving you and needing you all the same 💛 I’m sorry you feel that way though i know it must suck to realize you’re not going to get the birth you imagine/want

How long do you go with no movement to get checked

I’ve been told if I’ve got reduced movements to go in but they never say how long they have to be reduced for

I couldn’t make it there the other day and the next day it went back to normal but he’s got a tendency to go a day without moving at all and then going crazy the next day

Belly pouch

After having a c-section I’ve been left with an over hanging pouch which I find disgusting and is making me feel really depressed. Does this go or does it stay? If so any tips to get rid? Used a belly band but no difference. 😭😭

So worried I won’t have enough sleep for pushing

I slept for 3 hours at home the night before my induction purely because I was so anxious. They was delayed all day so I wasn’t allowed in until late last night. I had finished the pessary + all my monitoring by 2am, woke up with cramps at 4am then woken up for my observations at 6am. So barely slept for 2 nights in a row now. Everyone keeps saying I need to get as much energy as I can for birth but it’s pretty impossible when I’m in pain very close together & in a room full of people. I’m so worried I will be too tired and won’t be able to do this😩

38 weeks - hospital bag done!

Just finished packing my hospital bag as I’m 38 weeks tomorrow. Apart from a couple of very final things like my toothbrush, phone charger, inhaler etc. it’s all done! ✅ I’m going to leave a post-it note on the top with the last few things that need to go in so my husband can grab them.

I will say getting some clear ziplock bags from Amazon and using a label maker to label what’s in each bag has made me feel SO much more calm and organised. Knowing I can ask my husband to grab something and he should know exactly where to find it will make his and my life so much easier 😂

Baby’s bag and snack bag are also both done but my next job is to pack an overnight bag for my 3 year old so that can be grabbed as and when the grandparents come and collect him! 🥹
