How long do you go with no movement to get checked

I'd jiggle him about to get him moving. If still nothing, no time wasted, I'd be calling labour ward.

There is no time limit, if you’ve noticed movements are reduced compared to normal get checked asap. They would rather you go up and everything be okay, even if baby moves as soon as you get up there rather than wait at home & things go wrong x

I waited ten minutes after having a five minute walk, some sugary food, 500mls of water, and lying on my side. The midwives at my local hospital would rather I go in too frequent than not frequent enough. I was there at 3am for nearly 45mins for monitoring and have a scan booked for 1.20pm

I was in triage all the time when I was pregnant, they were so lovely every time

I’m the same as you - some days he’s been fairly quiet but the next he’s been moving about all over the place so I understand it’s hard to call.

I’ve found judging it by on the quiet days if I can still make him move about (cold juice/ice lolly, prodding his bum that sticks out, gently wobbling bump) then I’m happy. If there was still nothing convincing I’d then ring triage but it’s always worked for me

Please just go in, I had my baby in May and nobody knew my waters had gone but I knew something was wrong with her movements and we had a pretty traumatic birth followed by time in NICU from lack of oxygen. You know your body best. Even if you feel you're going every day it's worth knowing you're both ok ❤️

My baby hardly moved and could go days of hardly anything ! A lovely midwife was brutally honest and said if you have any change in movements come In , I don’t want to tell you your baby’s gone because you waited ! I was in every other day, last two weeks I went in daily and ended up being induced . She was born absolutely perfect and didn’t move much as a newborn But now she is non stop 😂 x

No limit. Always go if the reduced movements are not the same as typical movements routine or if you feel concerned x
