If you have a toddler and soon to give birth to a baby.....
I'm worried that my toddler will feel less important or like the baby is getting the attention etc.
I want to make sure she feels Included as much as possible and not like she's being replaced.
I think she will be an amazing big sister. But thinking what can I do to make sure she never questions my love for her....

Absolutely, my little girl is 2 on 6th September and I'm due on 18th. She still breastfeds and cosleeps and hasn't spent more than around 2.5/3 hours away from me. I too think she'll be amazing big sister but I have felt worried and guilty. I'm going to involve her in everything and if both they are both upset at the same time, go to your older one first, the baby won't remember but the toddler will. Also try schedule some one on one time every day, even if it's 15 minutes. We've got this mamašš»š

It's always a worry... But I have to believe that, as a family, we will adjust. The very fact that you're thinking about how to include her tells me you will do it! I think that it'll be important to have time where baby isn't always coming first, but it's a balance.

Worried as well, he is a huge Mumma's boy. Turns 2 on the 5th of September and I am due a week later on the 12th

Weāre planning a home birth and I also have the same thoughts. Our little boy will get a baby doll, so he can copy what weāre doing. Weāre going to involve him with nappy changes etc to make him feel needed. Should he want to be present at the birth and tge timing works, he can. But at the moment heās rather scared of it so my dad is āon callā to take him for the time. If heās not with us I want to make sure the baby is not in my arms when he first sees me, but with my partner/ in a crib or something so I can fully concentrate on him and ask him about his day, not make the moment about the baby. I expect that it will still feel like that for him and heāll be upset every now and then but those are some things I imagine being helpful :)
Iām 37 weeks pregnant and at my ultrasound they said her head is smaller than her body they are saying it looks like microcephaly has anyone else been told this about their baby but they were fine and didnāt have it currently freaking out picture of my most recent face ultrasound

Iāve been told if Iāve got reduced movements to go in but they never say how long they have to be reduced for
I couldnāt make it there the other day and the next day it went back to normal but heās got a tendency to go a day without moving at all and then going crazy the next day

Anyone here have another baby post c section (either a second c or VBAC)? Curious how long folks waited. Iāve always wanted two close in age, and feel great, just wondering about safety wise (dr recommends 12/18 months between c and conceiving

I slept for 3 hours at home the night before my induction purely because I was so anxious. They was delayed all day so I wasnāt allowed in until late last night. I had finished the pessary + all my monitoring by 2am, woke up with cramps at 4am then woken up for my observations at 6am. So barely slept for 2 nights in a row now. Everyone keeps saying I need to get as much energy as I can for birth but itās pretty impossible when Iām in pain very close together & in a room full of people. Iām so worried I will be too tired and wonāt be able to do thisš©

Genuinely interested in what other mum's days look like while on maternity leave. I spend some time cleaning, laundry, doing bottles steralising etc. I break the day up with preparing lunch, maybe a walk but I do spend a lot of time at home with the TV on sometimes it just goes on to the screensaver because I get bored. Sometimes when baby is having a bad day and we're both tired I have put on sensory baby videos or animated book stories like the hungry caterpillar on YouTube on the TV for baby. It is a rare occasion of course but wondering how your days look. What does baby do all day and what do you do? I think it's easy to start questioning how you are doing things when life can be quite isolating at this stage.
