Period due today but I have super irregular periods anyway, Iβm on birth control and I get a period every two weeks so wondering if this could be positive due to hormones being out of whack

I had my baby 31st May and breast fed for about 4-6 weeks. I havent had a period yet... is this normal? I thought it was but the Dr seemed suprised. I was getting hot flashes also which I thought was due to the hormone fluctuations of stopping breast feeding but now I'm starting to wonder if I'm menopausing or am I being dramatic. I spoke to a friend who gave birth 2 weeks before me and she's had 2 periods already... my neighbour said she gave birth and went straight into menopause.
For context I'm 40 and had a C section. My period was irregular before I got pregnant

Does anyone else seem to have issues with GPs? Every time I go to the doctors I just feel fobbed off. I've been to different doctors, male and female, for different issues and just never seem to get anywhere. Its always chalked up to stress or essentially in my head without listening to what I'm saying. Thats the thing that stresses me out!! Today I was told that breastfeeding doesn't affect your estrogen or hormone levels... am I being stupid here?

Iβm 5 months PP and Iβve recently been having hot flashes, like Iβll wake up in the night and feel like Iβm burning up (and itβs not the hot weather lol) and also getting headaches daily- someone said it could be hormones as Iβm EBF but just want to know if anyone has had similar symptoms?
