I got induced at 41wks started with breaking the water, then the balloon, then pitocin, then I got a couple of doses of pain medicine but decided to get the epidural cause my contractions were going crazy fast. Was still able to turn over and move my body but felt worlds better. But after all that (was over 24hrs later. Went in on the 13th and she was born on the 15th) I still wasn't dilated more than 4-5cm so I ended up having a non emergency c section and everything went really smoothly! Overall it was a really positive experience. I hope yours is everything you want it to be 🤍

I got induced and 9 hours later I had given birth to a beautiful baby boy

So the hormone thing they put inside of me. Gave me so much pain but apparently it’s a good thing. I wanted to kill the nurse lol. I was 3cm dilated at the end of the hormone insertion and was sent into delivery room with gas and air then I had the epidural and was so still for that. Then epidural was my blessing as I felt no pain I did 3 hours of pushing in the heatwave. I would do it all again.

I was induced at 40w6d. I got the foley tube and pitocin. I went in at 1cm (i was 1cm for 2 weeks). They started me on an iv, gave me fentynal or morphine right before inserting. I felt nothing. They gave me pitocin and upped it 2 times. By the second time I needed the epidural. I had a combo spinal epidural. Overall from when I checked in to when I had my baby was 40 hours. Baby girl was not trying to come to this world lol. Everything they did, I did research, and these were the the things I wanted for my induction (originally didn't want an induction, but baby girl wasn't coming)

I went in for 40 weeks ultrasound and they told me to stay and have baby and be induced the same day 🤷
That was May 18th.
I had some med first, forget the name, then pitocin. Baby didn't like pitocin much therefore started balloon. Keep walking a lot and sit/lightly bounce on fitness ball. I haven't really prepared and tried it beforehand, but learnt that day-night-day. Walking is huge if you can, regardless if it's meds, balloon or whatever induction they are using.
Then around 3-4am on Tues I asked for epidural - I'm so glad I did, I'm a huge advocate for epidural now. My only suggestion, do not give yourself more than needed. I didn't know until I was in labor but they give you a click button, you suppose to click when pain gets too much, it takes a long while for meds to kick in. A friend of mine made herself so numb, she couldn't push when it was time.

Afternoon on Tuesday. Thanks God I didn't do more. I had waters pierced after and my son didn't like that at all, I had like 7 people running into the room, the Dr asked me if I can flip over immediately, they lost his vitals or smth, it was very scary. I was able to turn despite the epidural momentarily, and all worked out well. They injected some kind of waters/liquid back in and all worked out perfectly by the end of the day. So if you haven't decided yet regarding the epidural, i advise for it, just watch the amount closely.
Pushing was a piece of cake after all that :) Had my lovely healthy baby boy on May 19th at 6.52pm . I'm the happiest mama now ❤️❤️❤️

I got induced at 40 weeks on the dot because low fetal movement, she came on her due date & honestly my induction was so smooth, i couldn't have asked for a better induction. now the poticon contractions are no joke but if you get the epidural and it takes it's literally a breeze. i arrived at 12am on Friday morning and had her at 9:37 that morning. i was 4cm dilated when got to the hospital. had a second-degree tear and bleed really bad but honestly that's just the luck of the draw, some women tear and some don't. good luck mama🫶

Yayyyy! My induction story is a very positive one, I went in the day I turned 39 weeks to be induced due to how long she was sitting. I was 1/2 centimeter dilated but my cervix was still hard. I had the pill they place beside the cervix, I was allowed to walk and with assistance from my doulas I walked and changed positions very very frequently. My water broke after 7 hours and I didn’t really feel any contractions until after that. I had extremely painful back labor for 9 hours and pushed for 9 minutes. I was able to accomplish my dream of having a pain med free labor and delivery and didn’t tear at all, I give all the credit to the physical therapy I started at 20 weeks because I was so scared of labor
