I'm 18 weeks pregnant and have had quite bad abdominal tenderness, aches and shooting pains since week 10. I have called the maternity helpline a few times and been to the GP, but because I don't have bleeding/fever or 10/10 pain it's like no one cares. They are chalking it up to pelvic girdle pain without even physically examining me. The baby is completely healthy from the scans and they have ruled out UTI. but I am just really shocked at the lack of empathy from any medical professional I speak to and the only advice is to take paracetamol?!

Sorry for what you have been going through can absolutely relate, I have been suffering from pain since the 19th week now 33 weeks, the midwives and physio have been absolutely useless just like you i get told to take paracetamol, at this point the only hope is that the pain will go away after delivery

So sorry to hear that 😣 my midwife suggested me to get the physio if it continues, also can just get an appointment with my gp so they can sort it out for me. I’m 29 weeks and the last week I had this kind of tenderness. I called the triage as they gave me a number for any problems after 20 weeks and they’re so helpful. I was told to go to the hospital at 1am, got there and 3 minutes later they got me a ‘room’ put the monitors for my baby and started checking me. Everything was okay, but they said it’s painful as the baby is growing and the muscles are stretching so paracetamol is what they can do, but my biggest concern that night was that my baby wasn’t moving as usual as well but as soon as the monitors were on baby started doing he’s regular movements and even more. If you need to change your midwife you can request that as far as I have heard. Wish you the best 🍀
I’ve been told if I’ve got reduced movements to go in but they never say how long they have to be reduced for
I couldn’t make it there the other day and the next day it went back to normal but he’s got a tendency to go a day without moving at all and then going crazy the next day

I had my consultation today with regards to this 2nd pregnancy and birth options. With everything going on and previous elective, it was the best decision to book another C-Section. I know based on all the medical info, my anxiety and how hard this pregnancy has been, it's the overall best decision. However.... I feel like because I let fear take over my first pregnancy, that I failed myself this pregnancy 😞 I was hoping for a VBAC at the beginning, but that was before all the issues. I just can't help the disappointment and self blame. Sorry for the rant and open to any advice or what not ❤️

After having a c-section I’ve been left with an over hanging pouch which I find disgusting and is making me feel really depressed. Does this go or does it stay? If so any tips to get rid? Used a belly band but no difference. 😭😭

Hi mums and mums to be! I am 28 weeks pregnant and measured 90th percentile at my midwife appointment. I got referred for a growth scan and apparently she is 95th percentile!
Does anyone have experience of this and what happens next? I was almost expecting it as I am quite tall and was a heavy baby myself but just want some examples of what happened next for you ie did you have a cesarean or induced early?

Just finished packing my hospital bag as I’m 38 weeks tomorrow. Apart from a couple of very final things like my toothbrush, phone charger, inhaler etc. it’s all done! ✅ I’m going to leave a post-it note on the top with the last few things that need to go in so my husband can grab them.
I will say getting some clear ziplock bags from Amazon and using a label maker to label what’s in each bag has made me feel SO much more calm and organised. Knowing I can ask my husband to grab something and he should know exactly where to find it will make his and my life so much easier 😂
Baby’s bag and snack bag are also both done but my next job is to pack an overnight bag for my 3 year old so that can be grabbed as and when the grandparents come and collect him! 🥹
