Measuring large - 95th percentile

Mine was measuring around 95 centile, and they suggested a c section due to the risks of shoulder dystocia. I am 4"11 and he ended up being 8lbs 11 x

I had a 98th percentile child I ended up with a c section mainly due to other problems but there was talk about being induced because of her size, I was 32 weeks pregnant with a 6lb baby and I was told I don’t have a frame designed for a baby that large. I had to be dr led not midwife and
I got extra scans told not to drink pop, to watch my fruit and sugar intake 🙄 everything went great, I healed and she’s my happy 91st percentile toddler now

They will offer you both, but if that's not what you want, then you can still have a spontaneous vaginal birth x

Hey ;) I had 4 pregnancies, and 3 of my babies were around the 90th percentile (except my first, who was around the 70th percentile, I think).
I was advised to have a C-section because there was a risk of the baby getting stuck or tearing my perineum. Everything they warned me about actually happened with my first baby, who was 3.8 kg, so I don’t think there is really a rule for it.
I said I wanted to try to have the rest of my babies naturally and only have a C-section if it was absolutely necessary.
My second son was almost 4.2 kg and I gave birth to him naturally with no problems. My third son was also almost 4.2 kg. I was induced at 39 weeks and gave birth naturally with no complications. My fourth baby, a daughter, was 4.04 kg, and I also managed to give birth to her without any problems. I'm not tall at all 😂😂

Don’t panic too much! They’re more wrong than right with baby’s size xx

Hey! They estimated baby to be LGA from growth scans (my bump was always bang on) and tried to pressure me into an induction due to risk of shoulder distocia I refused went into labour naturally and baby was only 7lbs2 born at 39+4. Look into the big baby trial too my midwife was really supportive and suggested a read ☺️ obviously you never know what will happen but definitely consider all your options and make the decision that feels right for you and baby!

Had similar and induction was booked but baby came spontaneously before the induction anyway. The same thing happened with my second baby too.

Baby measured 97th percentile on scans and she was born 8lbs 13 (4kg) at 40+5days, so also 97th. Ended up choosing c section after 18hr of labour because they told me she could get stuck which scared me
