I’ve been freezing so much breast milk & I wonder if it’ll ever be used? Like when would I use it if I’m constantly pumping anyway? 😅
Also how many ounces do you mommas freeze at a time? I’ve been doing 6oz to save bags, 4oz & 3oz. Also how do you go about thawing the breast milk when you’ve got to wait for it to thaw in the fridge? Sigh, this stresses my mom brain out.

Are you over producing? How many bags are you freezing a day that your little doesn’t drink? I used my milk in baths, hoping to make soap when I have time lol, and I plan to still give her milk at age 1+ until I run out which is probably only a few weeks after she turns one.

You could also start introducing a bottle or two a day so they can get used to it and start using that stash and pump for that feeding

I believe you can donate it to women who aren’t able to produce for whatever reason and it can really help other women and families.

One suggestion I haven’t seen mentioned that I have tried and liked was diaper cream. Just breastmilk and coconut oil. Lasts a few weeks if kept in the fridge but I think only like a week if not in the fridge. Also I like to keep a designated skincare frozen bag that if kiddo or you had a rash, bug bite etc. it is great for that, also not gonna lie rubbing the cold milk on your face not only feels soothing but also helps complexion/any irritation. I am also an over supplier, putting away a good 20-25oz extra a day just pumping to soften or pump when I give baby a bottle. I mostly freeze in 4 oz increments but sometimes 6. I have started taking a few bags out to thaw in the fridge overnight and use them the next day so that I can actually use my stash before they go bad (at 6months). I definitely recommend letting your kiddo try one from the bottle and make sure they take it. I learned the hard way with my first that I produce high lipase milk so once it freezes the taste changes and

* some kids are picky about the taste. I ended up having an entire freezer full of milk he wouldn’t drink and so I just use that milk in baths. A lot of milk I produced with my first never got consumed and I’m actually still using it 18 months later because I was like why waste it?! I’m trying to actually have a stash this time that can be consumed and figuring out a good system. The hard part for me has been organizing it so I use the older milk first. I’ve heard people putting the bags into gallon bags so you can keep track of the dates better and will probably be trying this going forward.

I’ve got a stash of about 18oz, 4 bags of 4 1/2 ozs (130ml bags) this just means I can have a day out if wanted. I’ve built up for a spa day 🙌🏼 if I fed him before going and fed him when I came back this would allow me away for roughly 7hrs. I would pump while away so then it would replace the freezer stash when I get back so would only need 1 days worth in freezer at a time. Unless I plan to leave him for longer. I had over production when I was obsessed with producing more milk than he had to build a stash, he struggled with my strong letdown and full breasts. Now it’s much better that I’ve built the stash and just need to pump however much he has in his 1 bottle a day.
My friends daughter is only 4 but is really cruel. Always has to make someone feel bad or less, forcing them to give her what they have, excluding them, she is always so serious even with adults like she hates everyone and everything and only smiles if she is doing something bad. She makes her friends beg for food for instance and when my daughter runs excited to see her she looks at her with disgust and walks away (even if she later tries to find her) another small thing she tries to get my attention copying things that my daughter just done like asking me to wash her hands (I think is a competition with my little one) and she has 0 respect for other adults. For instance her mum asked me to help her as she was in a dangerous bit of the playpark and her mum was feeding the baby. She said in a very rude way: go and sit with my mum over there. I'm pulling my daughter away from her just now because I know my daughter loves her but also causes her stress as when they are together my daughter has episodes she wouldn't have afterwards. Opinions please

My boy is almost 6 months old and has never slept through the night, he wakes up at least twice but mostly more than that. Last night he was up every hour! He always want a bottle to go back to sleep, even when he’s not hungry and I’ve tried everything to stop the bottles through the night, dummies, rocking, co sleeping but he still needs them for comfort even if it’s only a few sips. Thing is sometimes he will drink the full thing, so I feel I can’t stop offering completely just incase he really is hungry. I don’t know what I’m hoping from this, maybe some advice or hope that it does get better…

Is anyone putting their baby to sleep upstairs/in the bed room and not staying in the room with them? I normally put her to bed at 10pm in the next to me and then go to bed myself but she tends to fall asleep at 8pm ish these days but it’s broken sleep as she gets serious FOMO. I would get a camera but wasn’t sure if she was too young to be alone (11 weeks) I would get a monitor, I just don’t fancy an 8pm bedtime and some time with my partner alone would be nice!!

I’ve been dealing with a very overly involved MIL. She try’s so hard to ask everyone about my business even after my husband tells her to stop asking and that it’s not any of her business. She thinks that I create drama for my husband when I’m genuinely doing nothing wrong. She sits in my face and acts like we’re so close but behind my back, she’s trying to make me seem evil. She even acts like we’re so close whenever my own parents are visiting.
I know she’s not gonna change because this is who she is. Everytime I go over or back when we lived with her, she would/is always on the phone with someone talking shit about another person.
Is it messed up for me to step back and have my husband bring my son to see her, while I stay home? Lmk if you have any advice or other ideas of what I could do…
I’m so hurt over her being what feels two faced. I don’t know what to do. I started therapy to regulate my emotions and to learn how to not let things bother me but why do I have to get help for someone else’s issues? Ugh idk.

I live in a remote area and I can’t go out everyday. On days where I’m home, my baby is just bored all the time, she fusses so much (moaning really, rather than crying). She can’t sit up or crawl yet so it’s hard for her to play independently. I interact as much as possible but as the day goes by, I run out of ideas! I’ve read about how some babies are happy to just watch their mum do things around the house, but mine isn’t interested and she’ll just fuss. Anyone been in that situation? Any advice?
