Brother for Travis

Currently pregnant and finding out the gender in a few weeks. If it's another boy we have always loved the name Taylor but is this setting us up for a life of people thinking we're die hard swifties (we absolutely are not) even if both boys? 🙈

Also open to suggestions as we found boys names super tough first time around! Not stuck on it having to be another T either

I also don’t automatically think of Taylor swift when I hear a boy called Taylor. I’ve got 2 in my life. And so what if that’s what a handful of people think? Pop stars come and go he’s going to outlive her career and make his own legacy!

If you like the name that’s all that matters is my point!

First go at collecting colostrum

Second baby, 38+1 and managed to get 2x 1ml syringes. It did take about half an hour though 😂

Starting later than I did in my first pregnancy, partially because I don’t want to go into labour yet but also because I just haven’t found the time!

C-section recovery

What was your recovery like? How much help and support did you need for the first few weeks?

Growth scans / big baby

How accurate have peoples growth scans been? I had a scan at 40+1 and they said the baby is measuring 8.15lb! At 36 weeks she was measuring 6.2lb, so this seems like a massive jump! From the 43rd percentile to 95th! Those who were told they were having big babies, were they born big? I'm only 4'11ft, husband is 6ft and all his family were big babies😭😂

Bleeding

I’m 14 days post partum and just wondering whether anyone has experienced anything similar so my lochia had calmed down next to nothing and then all of a sudden yesterday I had quite a lot of bleeding it slowed down and I went to triage they said they weren’t concerned. I woke up this morning with a little bit of blood on my sanitary towel but when I went to wipe it’s like a blood bath down there again. Anybody else experiencing this?

20 week scan notes

I’m currently nearly 23 weeks pregnant and had my scan at 20 (+1) weeks. I was told baby was measuring well and she looks great. I’ve since spoken to a midwife and a consultant about a complication I have which was discovered on my 20 week scan and has made me a high risk pregnancy. The sonographer, midwife and consultant have all given me different information about this complication each saying my placenta is in a slightly different place. I was hoping to read the scan notes myself, but haven’t received these. I have an online notes system called My Pregnancy Notes, but find not all information is added to this.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Where did you find/were you given your 20 week scan notes?

Inductions

Is it just me or does it feel like the hospital push the idea of inductions on everyone. I can't tell you the amount of people that have had it or are planning to have one.

What is the reason for this?
