Exclusive breastfeeding moms, I need your advice!
Hi moms, I really need some advice from other exclusively breastfeeding moms who may have experienced something similar. đ„ș
My baby is exclusively breastfed, but she sometimes goes 11â12 days without pooping. When she does poop, the stool is usually soft and mustard yellow.
I have tried lactulose as recommendedâthe first time it worked, but the second time it didnât. After that, the doctor recommended glycerin suppositories. Sometimes after waiting around 12 days, I have to use glycerin to help her poop. There have even been times when she didnât poop after the glycerin, so I had to wait another few days and try again.
Iâm getting really worried because I donât know if this is normal for exclusively breastfed babies or if anyone elseâs baby has gone this long without pooping.
Have any of your exclusively breastfed babies experienced this? How long would your baby go without pooping, and what helped? I would really appreciate hearing your experiences. â€ïž

How old is your baby? My second went through something like this. We had to suppository her too. We were told to give some juice too. But she was not a newborn. Probably around 4-6 months.
The Frida windi thing helped some too. We did something around a week. Does your baby seem unhappy? Is their belly hard?
Is she visibly uncomfortable? I wouldnât worry if she isnât uncomfortable.
Breastfed babies can go a long time without pooping and itâs normal, remember breast milk doesnât contain as much fat as formula and it has EXACTLY what they baby needs
This can be totally normal! If the stool is normal consistency for their age when they do go, thereâs no need for laxatives of any sort. Like explained, stool is waste, and thereâs very little waste in breastmilk x
Very normal. My boy went once every 10-14 days, then settled to once a week until we started introducing solids. As long as sheâs not uncomfortable, itâs all good!

Grieving advice
Hi ladies.. I am just looking for advice from anyone who has tried anything before as my GP hasnât been very helpful. Iâve also reached out to the postnatal team and still waiting to hear despite chasing up.
I lost my dad when I was 35 weeks pregnant with my second daughter. She is now 4 months and while I am coping very well considering the heartache I am going through, I still feel I need to speak with a professional who may be able to help me process things better than I am currently.

Night feeds
Hi I need help
my 4 almost 5 month old is feeding so much at night- 4 times last night. She is combi fed, she doesnât have many bottled tho, only 1 a day and she only had around 70mls. She feeds often in the day every 2hrs ish. Iâm not sure what I can do to stretch out the feeds in the day or night. Iâm so tired of waking up so often now. Last night she fed 12:00qm, 1.30am, 3.30 am and 5.30 itâs killer I try and soothe her other ways but it doesnât work.

Daytime naps
What are we using for daytime naps for our little ones? She is currently 3 months and has been having her day time naps in pram bassinet but I don't want to do that anymore.
Upstairs she has a next to me, so just after something comfortable for her to sleep in downstairs and nicely matches the living room aesthetics đ

Do you believe that if your child looks put together - hair done , clean face , fresh clothes etc that they get better treatment than a kid in a mismatched outfit , crazy hair and messy face

Colostrum collecting
When the time comes to start collecting colostrum in a couple weeks, how is everyone doing it??? All the tips and advice welcome please!
This is my second baby but with my first I couldnât do it all! Just couldnât work out how to do it / get it in the syringes, even though I did go on to breastfeed with a good supply. I have already started leaking a bit this pregnancy.
I have ordered some 1ml syringes but nothing else yet.
