Hi ladies.. I am just looking for advice from anyone who has tried anything before as my GP hasn’t been very helpful. I’ve also reached out to the postnatal team and still waiting to hear despite chasing up.
I lost my dad when I was 35 weeks pregnant with my second daughter. She is now 4 months and while I am coping very well considering the heartache I am going through, I still feel I need to speak with a professional who may be able to help me process things better than I am currently.
Thank you x

If you can afford it, look out a therapist in your area and book a session. Make sure they are licenced and verified. I have one near me I've been to a few times and I find it very helpful 😊 unfortunately it's often better to go private if you can. The postnatal team leaving you that long is ridiculous.

I would recommend seeing if your employer covers therapy. While obviously not the same as a parent, I had three miscarriages the last two years before my daughter was born, just a week ago, and I have been in therapy since the first loss. and it has made a huge difference. It also hasn’t because a financial burden because I was able to find someone that is mostly covered through my insurance at work. I hope you are able to find someone that you like working with, I think it will make a world of a difference. 🫂

did they not refer u to nhs therapy? its not as good or in depth but can help x

Have you tried talking therapies? I lost my mum 10 years ago and tbh I was reluctant to even get help at the time. But it has helped me a lot over the years.
I also highly recommend reflexology to keep you calm, it’s usually inexpensive.
My little boy had what I would say was his first tantrum yesterday, and it was over putting his shoes and coat on (i’m sure they’ll be many more to come) but i just continued to put his coat and shoes on an getting his brother ready through the kicking screaming and crying. Is that okay? As soon as we got outside he was fine

Lying on the sofa with one of my girlies asleep on my chest after feeding. She’s 6 weeks and is being so fussy at the moment, crying a lot, so I don’t dare move while she’s settled 😅

Anyone have any tips my 5 weeks old seems to be really struggling to poo. It’s the only time he cry’s and get really unsettled, I’ve tried all the leg exercises and tricks from instagram and nothing helps. He’s on Kendamil formula any suggestions?!

I’ve been freezing so much breast milk & I wonder if it’ll ever be used? Like when would I use it if I’m constantly pumping anyway? 😅
Also how many ounces do you mommas freeze at a time? I’ve been doing 6oz to save bags, 4oz & 3oz. Also how do you go about thawing the breast milk when you’ve got to wait for it to thaw in the fridge? Sigh, this stresses my mom brain out.

My 9 week old does not stop moving his head from side to side when I’m trying to put him to sleep. Sometimes he’ll rest face down on my chest. Hes super tired and has been fed but he is constantly fidgeting. I’ve tried burping him but nothing. I keep him upright after feeds but even then he is always moving. It’s as though he can’t get comfy! Anyone’s LO do the same? I just don’t get it
