Anyone have any tips my 5 weeks old seems to be really struggling to poo. It’s the only time he cry’s and get really unsettled, I’ve tried all the leg exercises and tricks from instagram and nothing helps. He’s on Kendamil formula any suggestions?!

Is he actually pooping but sure discomfort or not pooping at all? Because if he is pooping but crying it’s normal. Babies have not master the art of pooping yet hence they tend to struggle when doing it. However, if he is not having regular poos contact your doctor.

Babies don’t know to relax their butt when pushing so it’s a hard task to poop. Look into infant dychezia

OK i panicked about this and slightly obsessed over it and in reality its normal but if it continues if your using formula just add abit more water so its lighter , i changed to a lactose free formula for colic and constipation or even once I gave time pure apple juice just like 1 0z but it is pretty normal for them not to poo regularly yet x

Talk to midwife and GP.
It might be temporary.
But with my son it started when he was about 6 months old, he was really struggling to poo, it was always hard and he was crying real bad. I had to give him laxative daily, when that stopped working we got a powder based laxative. He’s 2,5 years old and only now it seems like he won’t need it anymore.

My 10 week old is exactly the same I’ve been back and forth with doctors, he got put on laxido which does help him poo, but it’s really green and smelly, I’ve changed his milk to SMA comfort hoping that helps if not I have to take him back to doctors where there going to give him lactulose aswell as his laxido x

It sounds like infant dyschezia, totally normal and part of them learning how to control their muscles

My little one went through this and it stressed me out! Omg. Youre doing the right thing with the exercises. Yes, it sounds like infant dyschezia (as long as poos arent hard/solid). My little one also had a build up of gas and i found that dentinox colic drops/infacol helped relax the entire digestive system a little. And we started to regularly use biogaia probiotics. The ones with added vitamin D so you dont have to use additional supplements.
It is a rough time and horrible to see baby so uncomfortable, sometimes I'd also put her back to my chest and lift her legs into a squat position. Really good position to help them poop!
The combination of all this and just giving it time really helped. She's now 10 weeks and this is no longer an issue 🙏🏾
Started to gradually get better around week 6/7 for us. Best of luck Mama x

Get a cotton wool ball, soak it in warm water, and rub it on his bumhole that should help him go.
Also, it may just be babies tummy getting used to formula if you feed that way, my second baby used to cry for hours on end, in pain with his tummy and it stopped around 8 weeks old, it sounds like your baby is pooing as normal so it may even be trapped gas, keep burping throughout feeding and give tummy massages, theirs lots of methods on YouTube if you're unsure

Going a few days without poop is normal. If it’s a week or so then go to your GP but you can also use Gripe Water which is safe to use from Newborn till old age

Do bicycle exercises etc. if your baby is formula fed it’s normal for them to not go for up to 72 hours. What makes my daughter go every time is the ready made formulas that you can get from the shop! X

We had the same, my daughter could go up to 5 days and we used kendamil too. We were advised to use ready made formula as it's a different consistency. So we alternated feeds with powder and ready made. It did help! Luckily she never seemed that uncomfortable, it was just the norm for her.

We switched from boobie whole milk to Kendamil goat and that seemed to help also redos probiotic. You could try gripe water once they get past 7lbs or gas drops as well
My little boy had what I would say was his first tantrum yesterday, and it was over putting his shoes and coat on (i’m sure they’ll be many more to come) but i just continued to put his coat and shoes on an getting his brother ready through the kicking screaming and crying. Is that okay? As soon as we got outside he was fine

Lying on the sofa with one of my girlies asleep on my chest after feeding. She’s 6 weeks and is being so fussy at the moment, crying a lot, so I don’t dare move while she’s settled 😅

I’ve been freezing so much breast milk & I wonder if it’ll ever be used? Like when would I use it if I’m constantly pumping anyway? 😅
Also how many ounces do you mommas freeze at a time? I’ve been doing 6oz to save bags, 4oz & 3oz. Also how do you go about thawing the breast milk when you’ve got to wait for it to thaw in the fridge? Sigh, this stresses my mom brain out.

My 9 week old does not stop moving his head from side to side when I’m trying to put him to sleep. Sometimes he’ll rest face down on my chest. Hes super tired and has been fed but he is constantly fidgeting. I’ve tried burping him but nothing. I keep him upright after feeds but even then he is always moving. It’s as though he can’t get comfy! Anyone’s LO do the same? I just don’t get it

Hi ladies.. I am just looking for advice from anyone who has tried anything before as my GP hasn’t been very helpful. I’ve also reached out to the postnatal team and still waiting to hear despite chasing up.
I lost my dad when I was 35 weeks pregnant with my second daughter. She is now 4 months and while I am coping very well considering the heartache I am going through, I still feel I need to speak with a professional who may be able to help me process things better than I am currently.
Thank you x
