Napping in the bassinet

Can I have a reality check? Is anyone’s baby laying down for the day sleeps? I’m nap trapped or baby-wearing mostly. At night it’s fine he’ll sleep on a separate surface no problem so I’m not complaining but I keep getting in my head “I’ll do X when the baby sleeps” but it’s just not happening!!

I'll consider myself blessed then. He does like to nap on me. But I have no trouble with him napping in his moses basket. Wrap lil ones matress in a tshirt uve worn so it smells of u.

We invested in a rockit. It's basically a rocker that attaches to his basket n rocks it. Also white noise. See if they help xx

Same here ! Bubbs is 9 weeks old and refuses to sleep anywhere but on me during the day. I've got a sling so I wear him during the day so I'm not trapped on the couch the whole day. He's fine in his next to me at night though. Little monkeys!

Yeah my little one is 6 weeks old and will only sleep on me/in the carrier during the day. He does thankfully go down in the next to me at night! If I pop him in the carrier I can stuff done. Absolutely hates the pram and the car seat so that’s the next challenge…x

It’s reassuring to know it’s not just my baby. I feel like I’m never not wearing the sling. I hate the voice in the back of my head saying I’m creating a bad habit / making me feel guilty I’m not trying harder to get him to sleep in the pram/anywhere else during the day. He’s so little still!

Doctor visit or not?

I don’t know if I should go to the doctor or not. After feeding my daughter i waited for a while then I put her down to sleep. After a minute of lying down she was fussy and milk started coming out of her mouth and nose. I set her up immediately. I also noticed she was wheezing but now it seems to have cleared. She is back to feeding good. She is even sleeping now. Breathing looks normal. She is calmer, skin colour normal. It’s like she is her normal self again

Feeling drained

Anyone else feeling physically and emotionally drained now? How do you do?

Controversial opinion but I found it a lot easier to care for baby when she was a tiny newborn, all was new, still running on adrenaline and she was sleeping during the day! Now that she is 3 months old, it's hard and it never stops.

I feel I have been "on" for the past 3 months and now reaching my limit. Anything will set me off, I have no patience with baby and keep arguing with hubby.

Am I alone feeling like this? Any tips? Will it get better?

Biting and pinching and pulling hair

My little boy is nearly 16 months old and he is getting really nasty he's pulling chunks out of people's hair, pinching and biting to the point your bleeding. I've tried everything I've smacked his hands told him no we don't hurt people moved him away from everyone when he's being nasty I've even bit his finger lightly nothing seems to be working. I honestly just need some guidance or some tips at this point I don't want him to be known as the nasty boy everyone avoids he has got his sweet loving moments but at this point there's not many

Sleeping

My nearly 4 month old has come out his bassinet due to weight limits and he’s now in his next to me in our bedroom again.
He used to sleep a dream in his bassinet, (6-7 hours) but I’m really struggling to get him to sleep longer stretches whilst in the next to me. I get 2 hours before he’s awake, and I can soothe him back to sleep just to get another couple of hours till he’s awake again. He has full feeds all day and is only formula fed.
We had this before with the next to me crib, so we moved him to his bassinet but there’s not much I can do now as he’s hit that weight limit.. I don’t know if he just doesn’t like the next to me crib🤣
Any advice or suggestions to try and get a longer stretch of sleep? I don’t think he’s going through the 4 month sleep regression as we’ve been away this weekend and he’s slept 7 hours every night in the bassinet, it only seems to be when he’s in the next to me x
