My little boy is nearly 16 months old and he is getting really nasty he's pulling chunks out of people's hair, pinching and biting to the point your bleeding. I've tried everything I've smacked his hands told him no we don't hurt people moved him away from everyone when he's being nasty I've even bit his finger lightly nothing seems to be working. I honestly just need some guidance or some tips at this point I don't want him to be known as the nasty boy everyone avoids he has got his sweet loving moments but at this point there's not many

It’s just a phase mama I know it’s hard try to be patient. I know it’s hard and overwhelming

Give it time he will get over that it's just a phase my son when he was small would bite his dog ear

Have you tried teaching him ‘gentle hands’? Like holding his hand and teach him to gently pat or touch. Hitting would only do immediate distraction but he won’t understand he’s supposed to stop his actions.
I heard if toddlers sees a big reaction for their behaviour (including the word ‘No’) they actually think it’s interesting and that can encourage them to repeat their actions.

My son has been through multiple biting phases, he gets excitable or tired and forgets how to use his words. We have done the gentle hands, teeth are not for biting, giving more attention to the victim etc. Unfortunately, for us once he gets to that point there's no reasoning. He is getting better again but i have been here before too so I dont trust it. He goes to nursery and is not the only biter so i know others around me understand at least. This is a phase not your kid, just hang on in there and hope he stops by 16 years old.

My son went through it too spitting hitting kicking bitting it does get better

My 18 month old is doing the same things and we all monitor our responses and try not to give a reaction even when it hurts. When he tries to bite, I’ll turn his head or something calmly but no big reaction. It’s helping but he still bites or claws us occasionally.

Mine is doing the same! Keep his nails filed as they are like little bloody claws! I tell him no and even lightly smack his hand and he just looks and me and laughs in my face! He grips my skin really bad with his whole hand! And bites my collar bone it really hurts! I just hope he doesn’t do
It at nursery that’s what I’m scared of! I believe it’s just a phase! I just still keep telling him no and I put him down and don’t give him any attention to try and make him
Understand it’s wrong but he’s still doing it!

Like others have said .. unfortunately this is a completely normal “phase” toddlers go through but from a childcare early years practitioner this behaviour needs to be changed quickly before it escalates. Children understand far more than we think from a very small age.. have you seen a pattern or trigger for this behaviour? Or is it random?
My little one did this and I was extremely strict and said no bitting and moved him away for “time out” on a chair. This was repeated where ever and whenever he did it, I didn’t back down once. Feel free to message me if you needed someone to chat to 🥰x

Mine was a biter around teething times. Just my nose and arms. Pulled my hair too but because he held it when I carried him downstairs. Gentle hands didn’t really work. He’s 23 months and fine. Nursery says it’s a phase.
My 7 month old is in a floor bed, which works amazingly at home. We go on holiday in a few weeks where I'll be sharing a double bed with him (there is a travel cot available but he's never really slept in a cot so I don't want this to be our only option as I'm not convinced he'll sleep in it).
The double bed obviously won't be on the floor....what are makeshift budget ways (that actually will stop a rolling around 7 month old) that can stop him rolling out of the 3 open sides without having to spend money on 3 side bed rails?
Any tips welcome x

Anyone else feeling physically and emotionally drained now? How do you do?
Controversial opinion but I found it a lot easier to care for baby when she was a tiny newborn, all was new, still running on adrenaline and she was sleeping during the day! Now that she is 3 months old, it's hard and it never stops.
I feel I have been "on" for the past 3 months and now reaching my limit. Anything will set me off, I have no patience with baby and keep arguing with hubby.
Am I alone feeling like this? Any tips? Will it get better?

So my boy is 2 weeks 2 days. The first week he slept fine in his bassinet now he will not sleep without touching me! And scream if I put him down. Does anyone safely co sleep or find a way to help them sleep without you? I get super anxious about co sleeping.

The car seat & travel cot/pushchair are all in decent condition. I paid just over £200 for it & was hoping to sell it.
I've posted it on FB but no luck. I'd really like to make a bit of money but it's unfortunately looking like I'll have to give it away for free.
What have you guys done with yours?
