My LO is 6 months old and hates being in the car. Sometimes she can tolerate a 10-20 minute journey by being distracted with toys, but once she starts crying she gets herself so worked up, which is so difficult when driving alone. I’ve tried her in the front (airbags turned off) and it worked for one journey but the journey back she was in hysterics by the time we got home.
I’m unsure if it has anything to do with the car seat, for reference she is 6 months old, and we have the joie I-level pro car seat, so it is fine for her age and weight/length, but unsure if the capsule car seat is causing discomfort.
Has anyone experienced this then changed to a bigger car seat and had better results, or any ideas how to keep her distracted? We do so many car journeys, and usually when I’m sat in the back with her she’s okay for a bit longer but once she’s in hysterics I have to take her out to calm her down
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Ours hated his infant carrier seat and when we switched him to an upright style on the isofix he was much better.

Mines hates the car seat too, the style of car seat doesn’t seem to matter, she just wants to be able to move freely. Unfortunately I think it’s just a temperament thing, really hoping in a year or so she starts to be ok with it as it’s really hard going anywhere and gives me a lot of anxiety.

The I level is a pretty reclined car seat. She may well get on better with an upright seat.

Mine hated her infant seat (my older kids also hated it) we moved to the Joie 360 for each of them and had no issues since. Totally feel your pain, it’s so hard driving when they’re screaming especially every journey 🥴

My baby is 6 months old and I had the same problem. I switched her to a convertible L shaped seat and now she falls asleep in the car

Hiya had the same issue my son would cry soo aggressively he’d throw up so I finally just switched him from the infant car seat to the joie multiway and he’s happy enough, it can sit upright and has a tilt if he naps and has a 360 turn so can be forward or rear facing
He just wanted to be upright looking at the world not on his back

Had the same issue, switched his car seat and still no difference now I play happy song by Imogen heap and he’s silent 🤣 also some random nursery songs will also keep him calm xx
The nursery has contacted on my sons second day at nursery to say that a baby has chickenpox. This baby was in the same room as my child.
Is there a high chance of him getting it? The baby was removed within 3-4, hours.
I havent had chickenpox myself so I am a bit worried hence me asking.
Are there any steps I can take?
Thanks all

VAGINAL BIRTHS, NO STITCHES OR COMPLICATIONS -
How long did everyone wait until they had sex? I usually hate these posts now I’m finding myself asking the same question hahahaha. The sexual tension we both have is unreal, we’ve not slept together since 2nd May😮💨 i usually have more self discipline than this! Baby was born 10th August so I’m 3 weeks and 2 days, not much blood is on my pads anymore however it’s there when I wipe. We almost tried the other night but I chickened out in case it hurt 😢

My LG is 11 months (1 year in 3 weeks) and she is ALWAYS wanting to walk holding my hands. She does it really well and is barely putting any weight on my hands any more and she cruises confidently!
I've been trying to encourage her to take an independent step but every time I do, she crawls to me instead.
Any tips would be great!

Typically how many bottles do you have? I know it depends on how often you wash them etc. We have 4 at the moment but looking at buying a couple more to avoid washing as often.

My husband is on a bit of a self-improvement/discovery journey and mentioned yesterday about the idea of being celibate for a while to see if it improves his mental state focus on other things. He said that he is curious around how if would affect him. How would you feel?
