Husband mentioned being celibate

My husband is on a bit of a self-improvement/discovery journey and mentioned yesterday about the idea of being celibate for a while to see if it improves his mental state focus on other things. He said that he is curious around how if would affect him. How would you feel?

I would say be annoyed cause what if you wanted to but my husband just be tired so it's like they for me already. But maybe do get a time frame more or less?

I guess I don’t understand the point of celibacy if you’re in a committed relationship 🤷🏼‍♀️ tbh I wouldn’t like it.

I mean
He didn’t come to you and say “I’m celibate from now on”
He raised it as a discussion on ways to improve his mental state focus
So discuss together what works and what doesn’t

I guess if I wanted to be celibate for a while I'd expect my husband to respect that. Marriage is sacrificial for me, and this is just another sacrifice.
It would need to understand why and the end goal.

I wouldn't be upset if my husband wanted to try being celibate to improve his health- for a timeframe within reason. I would hope he would be understanding if I needed/wanted to be celibate for my health. God knows he's always been incredibly patient with me post partum.

Nope 👎 I'm a sexual being and that's important to me in a relationship especially a marriage

I’m all for self discovery, so I would agree and discuss a timeframe.

I think I'd pose the question that if you're choosing to be celibate, how are you going to be intimate with me? Because intimacy doesn't have to be sex, but I would need to know. If we take away one way of connection it needs to be replaced with something or distance and resentment will grow.

I would support him. If my boyfriend came to me and explained that he wants to be celibate and we not have sex for a while to see how it effects his mental state. I would support him and just ask that we can be open with each other and then discuss our boundaries and set a time frame so that we could check back in. That would be much better than just turning me down and refusing it all the time. Communication is everything.

I'd be fine with it, I literally never feel like fooling around 😅

Chickenpox at nursery

The nursery has contacted on my sons second day at nursery to say that a baby has chickenpox. This baby was in the same room as my child.

Is there a high chance of him getting it? The baby was removed within 3-4, hours.
I havent had chickenpox myself so I am a bit worried hence me asking.
Are there any steps I can take?
Thanks all

Post partum sex

VAGINAL BIRTHS, NO STITCHES OR COMPLICATIONS -

How long did everyone wait until they had sex? I usually hate these posts now I’m finding myself asking the same question hahahaha. The sexual tension we both have is unreal, we’ve not slept together since 2nd May😮‍💨 i usually have more self discipline than this! Baby was born 10th August so I’m 3 weeks and 2 days, not much blood is on my pads anymore however it’s there when I wipe. We almost tried the other night but I chickened out in case it hurt 😢

How did you encourage your LO to take their first steps?

My LG is 11 months (1 year in 3 weeks) and she is ALWAYS wanting to walk holding my hands. She does it really well and is barely putting any weight on my hands any more and she cruises confidently!

I've been trying to encourage her to take an independent step but every time I do, she crawls to me instead.

Any tips would be great!

Car seat

My LO is 6 months old and hates being in the car. Sometimes she can tolerate a 10-20 minute journey by being distracted with toys, but once she starts crying she gets herself so worked up, which is so difficult when driving alone. I’ve tried her in the front (airbags turned off) and it worked for one journey but the journey back she was in hysterics by the time we got home.

I’m unsure if it has anything to do with the car seat, for reference she is 6 months old, and we have the joie I-level pro car seat, so it is fine for her age and weight/length, but unsure if the capsule car seat is causing discomfort.

Has anyone experienced this then changed to a bigger car seat and had better results, or any ideas how to keep her distracted? We do so many car journeys, and usually when I’m sat in the back with her she’s okay for a bit longer but once she’s in hysterics I have to take her out to calm her down

Any advice would be much appreciated!

How many bottles do you have?

Typically how many bottles do you have? I know it depends on how often you wash them etc. We have 4 at the moment but looking at buying a couple more to avoid washing as often.
