Decreased baby movement

I’m currently 39 weeks pregnant literally 4 days away from my due date but I’m worried because today I have barely felt any movement from her when I do it’s just two or three little kicks then it completely stops should I go to the doctor immediately or should I just wait to see if the movements increase because she is a lot more active at night

You can give triage a call to make sure !

I’m sure it’s all ok but Don’t chance it, 100% go and get checked if anything is off just go. Hope all is well

Always be safe and go get checked I was told if you lay on your left side for an hour and don’t get at least 5 movements within an hr then you go in

It is normal for movements to feel a little less at the end because space is getting reaaal tight in there BUT only you know your body and your baby and their movements. If you have an OUNCE of concern, call your doctor ASAP. Don’t wait. No one regrets seeking care for reduced fetal movement, and seeking care can save lives.

This was me last week. My baby is super active and she had been in the same exact position for hours, hadn’t felt her move and nothing I’d tried (laying on my side, drinking water or something sugary) worked so started panicking. Got the hospital and was monitored for hours and got an ultrasound done because she wasn’t moving as much as the dr’s would’ve liked and she wasn’t okay after that. It’s better being safe than sorry. Go! Hope everything is okay 🫶🏻

Get the app count the kicks, if baby is moving es less than 10 times in 2 hours go to the hospital— that was the advice the triage nurses gave me when I went in. But if it’s been a while and you don’t feel great about it, go asap. It’s better for them to check you out and clear you!

Definitely would go get checked out just to be safe love! I didn’t even know I was in labor. Decreased movement may be a sign.
I was just having some aggravating cramps, bath didn’t help so after a while I called the ambulance cause my husband was at work in a bad service area, well they asked on the phone about movement and I just remember telling them that I hadn’t felt much that day; by the time the ambulance picked me up, we made it maybe 2miles down the road and my water broke. He was a healthy breech rainbow ambulance baby 🤍

Go in!! I casually mentioned a little less movement at 38 weeks because I’d heard the myth that they run out of room. My daughter was born 3 hours later. She likely would have died if I wouldn’t have mentioned it

Keep us posted! 🤍

Do not ever chance it it’s not worth waiting, call your midwives/obgyn/triage team they will ask you questions and have you come in if needed. Don’t panic but don’t wait until tomorrow. I went in twice and it was nothing but the doctor and midwives said it’s always good to check and ensure bc babies are not supposed to move less as they get towards the end of pregnancy.

Jury in the LC trial

So the jury has been sent back in a deadlock. I'm so conflicted on my opinion about this case, I'm not sure she was in psychosis but don't feel the CW has given enough evidence that it's not a possibility. How/what sealed your opinion on the case? (If you've followed it).

I'm not even entertaining the idea that it was PCs fault.

C section date

I got my planned c section date today, the consultant wanted to book me in for 39+2 but I insisted on 40 weeks exactly. I didn't want to give birth earlier than necessary and both my children were born 41 weeks exactly (1 spontaneous labour 1 induced). I'm just panicking a bit now I've only ever had emergency sections, how likely is it that I will go into labour early? Did I make the wrong decision should I ask to change the date. TIA

GROW Scans

I just had a GROW scan at 32 weeks as my midwife referred me to it as the baby was just above the 10th percentile.

I don’t know why I feel so upset about the baby being small. I’ve always been very healthy and I think I’m doing all the right things and eating healthy and trying to rest and stuff and I know all babies are different and depends on your body and stuff. He’s a healthy baby just small but for some reason it worries me that he’s small?

I think its the lack of speaking or comments made by the people doing the scans like you ask questions and its all “yes/no, it’s normal” like is it tho?

I dont know if I’m overthinking it! Anyone else feeling a bit deflated about their own scans?

C sections

I’ve opted for an elective section this time round, due to a difficult natural birth last time, can someone help ease my anxiety?! You hear all the horror stories but not the ones that are positive

First time pregnancy, when do you tell people?!

Just interested in knowing when is a good time to tell people you’re expecting. I’m 6 weeks 4 days. I’ve told my work bestie to get me through work, and that is it! Am I crazy? I’m worried to tell anyone else until I’ve had my first scan?
