Do you find it harder as a SAHM, when your husband/partner is home than when they’re not? Not because they’re unhelpful or incompetent, just because you have your rhythm when they’re not around and it changes when they are.

Yes 😂 I always think I’m going to everything done quicker and easier but then by the afternoon nothings done but if I was on my own it would of all been done before 12 like take the dog out get everyone dressed and fed go to the shop etc x

It’s quite funny how he’s hands on etc. but for some odd reason, everything seems to be slower when he’s around. I’m yet to figure out why🤣🤣

Clicked no by accident but I don’t have a partner lol

10 times harder. He is my messiest child.

Both the same to be honest. When he’s not there I focus more but when he’s there he’s on toddler duty so I can crack on

When he isn’t working, it just feels like a weekend. He’s usually hanging out with the kids and I’m running around doing cleaning. It’s nice because I don’t have to think about making food or changing diapers and I can just get in my groove but I usually end up stopping to chat and wasting more time lol

Yes definitely harder, like sir why are you off today 🙄🙄🤦🏾♀️

I think its slower when we are both home. We created this life together, we made these children together, we want to experience that together. So less gets done quickly, but I'm not really worried about it.
We both agree its easier to keep a routine alone, but we aren't strict with routines anyway. We enjoy time as a whole family regardless of the chores being done.

A billion times easier. I have 0 rhythm and so when he’s home it only is better because he’s not a loser dad or husband.
Over the weekend my partner had a complete mental breakdown. He’s been struggling since the birth of our little boy who’s now 3 months old. I have a daughter from a previous relationship who’s 9 and they’ve always clashed to some extent. During my pregnancy he asked me to leave the home (it’s his house) so I moved back to my mums with her, as he struggled with her. He wanted to try and we moved back and after baby was born everything seemed great, there were a few arguments here and there but I just thought it was normal family life. I’ve been so wrapped up in our baby that I’ve neglected him and our relationship and didn’t see how bad he was struggling, I wish he had communicated to me. We haven’t shared a bed since baby was born as I do every night feed which was my choice. I’ve moved back to my mums and will see him on the weekend but I fear our relationship is over and I’m heartbroken. Has anyone ever been through anything like this and is there a way to come back together? I know he needs to focus on getting back to himself but I can’t imagine a life without him in the long term.

What are we doing ladies? My son is one this Friday and he just mostly independent plays around the living room with his toys and sometimes I get down there with him and I also try to play with his toys with him too but he just doesn't quite understand them fully yet

Hi I’m really struggling as a new SAHM to find time for myself and not feel like I’m going crazy
My partner has not been very understanding how mentally draining being home with a baby (3 m) all day can be
Yes we go out and he takes naps but by the end of the day I feel like I’m going absolutely insane and alone and sometimes my partner makes me feel guilty for wanting time to my self for like 30 minutes or even to take a shower when he gets home from work
Any mamas experience this before? Please help!

I have made it very clear I do not want my daughter who is 2 to be forward faced. Those in the family have car seats that can rear face to 18kg. She is not 18kg. Today I find out shes being forward faced by one of the family members I use for child care. I am pissed!! Yes she can legally forward face but it is NOT what I have requested and now I feel I cant trust them to look after my daughter if theyre breaking a boundary I have set what other boundaries will they break.

My son is 4 months old (19 weeks) and im running out of ideas of things to do for play!
We go to baby sensory once a week and daily walks as he loves being in his pram looking around.
We do tummy time, stories and he plays with me in his play gym. He has long wake windows but good(ish) naps, every day he has a night time baths cos he loves a bath but i feel like he needs more play activities. Ive tried tummy time with a tray of shallow water and his toys in but he wasnt fussed.
Any ideas what i can try? He gets bored faaairly quickly but also want new ideas for me to as it feels like the same things again and again!
Thanks in advanced!
