I like my MIL but she is a lot and whenever my little girl makes a noise it’s ’do you want milk?’ Or ‘shall you have some more?’ When it’s clearly not hunger - she just goes straight to the bottle and it really winds me up especially as my baby is very sicky.
The other day my baby was having an awful wind episode (full on screaming) and MIL was trying to shove a bottle in her mouth and wouldn’t give her back to me. When me and my husband then ask for her to sort her out she always goes ‘no she’s fine with me!’ And once said ‘nanny knows best’. She also said to my LG a few weeks ago ‘are they not feeding you enough? Do they pinch you awake? Do they pinch you when I’m not here? Tell me all about it’ and I can’t stand it.
My husband is amazing and puts her in her place but she just doesn’t listen and she is now trying to make decisions on my LGs care e.g not using a swivel base in the car and just a seatbelt extender when she takes her out (she hasn’t yet but I don’t want to let her now especially as I’ve said I’ll put my swivel base in her car)
Am I being ridiculous getting upset about her doing stuff like this? Happy to hear some honest opinions.

This pissed me off already 😂she needs to be put in her place a bit more, until she gets it (personally). What you and your husband say, is law when it comes to YOUR baby. You know when baby is fed and needs something else, you know exactly what’s best for your baby. She needs to sit back and kindly shut up and let you raise your child. Nanny does not know best, you’re not pinching your baby, what’s wrong with her? I just cannot understand people that do this.
Over the weekend my partner had a complete mental breakdown. He’s been struggling since the birth of our little boy who’s now 3 months old. I have a daughter from a previous relationship who’s 9 and they’ve always clashed to some extent. During my pregnancy he asked me to leave the home (it’s his house) so I moved back to my mums with her, as he struggled with her. He wanted to try and we moved back and after baby was born everything seemed great, there were a few arguments here and there but I just thought it was normal family life. I’ve been so wrapped up in our baby that I’ve neglected him and our relationship and didn’t see how bad he was struggling, I wish he had communicated to me. We haven’t shared a bed since baby was born as I do every night feed which was my choice. I’ve moved back to my mums and will see him on the weekend but I fear our relationship is over and I’m heartbroken. Has anyone ever been through anything like this and is there a way to come back together? I know he needs to focus on getting back to himself but I can’t imagine a life without him in the long term.

I have made it very clear I do not want my daughter who is 2 to be forward faced. Those in the family have car seats that can rear face to 18kg. She is not 18kg. Today I find out shes being forward faced by one of the family members I use for child care. I am pissed!! Yes she can legally forward face but it is NOT what I have requested and now I feel I cant trust them to look after my daughter if theyre breaking a boundary I have set what other boundaries will they break.

Hi I’m really struggling as a new SAHM to find time for myself and not feel like I’m going crazy
My partner has not been very understanding how mentally draining being home with a baby (3 m) all day can be
Yes we go out and he takes naps but by the end of the day I feel like I’m going absolutely insane and alone and sometimes my partner makes me feel guilty for wanting time to my self for like 30 minutes or even to take a shower when he gets home from work
Any mamas experience this before? Please help!

Do you find it harder as a SAHM, when your husband/partner is home than when they’re not? Not because they’re unhelpful or incompetent, just because you have your rhythm when they’re not around and it changes when they are.

My son is 4 months old (19 weeks) and im running out of ideas of things to do for play!
We go to baby sensory once a week and daily walks as he loves being in his pram looking around.
We do tummy time, stories and he plays with me in his play gym. He has long wake windows but good(ish) naps, every day he has a night time baths cos he loves a bath but i feel like he needs more play activities. Ive tried tummy time with a tray of shallow water and his toys in but he wasnt fussed.
Any ideas what i can try? He gets bored faaairly quickly but also want new ideas for me to as it feels like the same things again and again!
Thanks in advanced!
