Mines booked for Tuesday im so so nervous especially as a first time mum who’s still living at home with my parents. Is this something they will mention or judge ?
I felt a weird vibe over the phone today.
They asked me how breastfeeding was going, I said it’s going amazing. Baby is currently cluster feeding but the midwives and drs at the hospital have told me to keep doing what I’m doing because it will help flush away her jaundice. She then continued to say that baby shouldn’t be feeding for longer than 45 mins, said I should be switching boobs and said my latch needs to be 10/10 by this point. I reassured her that I am already switching sides & winding & latch is brilliant (also checked by midwife on visit). She continued to keep asking question after question as if she was super concerned. My baby is fed. No one else has been concerned. She hasn’t even met me yet. I don’t know I just got a vibe and felt like she was trying to make me feel like I’m doing something wrong already.
Making me extra nervous for her to be inspecting my parents home.

My health visitor was lovely, she didnt inspect my home or anything, she just visited and talked and see how baby and I were getting on x

I wouldn’t worry. As long as there’s no sign of any abuse to you or baby etc they don’t care who you live with. They don’t care if the house is a bit messy or if you’re not in your best clothes. Their whole job is just making sure you and baby are coping well. In fact I would say They’ll probably consider living with your parents good as you’ll have more support.
The first few visits/ calls health visitors ask the same questions over and over. They have a set list that they have to ask which varies depending on bottle feeding or breast feeding. In your red book on page 56 is the questions they go through and any health visitor you talk to will ask them each time.
Don’t get me wrong not all HV are good. I had a shit one for my first baby but this time they’ve been brilliant. If you really don’t feel comfortable with the one that visits you are allowed to request a different one. But try not to overthink it beforehand xx

They wouldn’t judge you being with your parents at all. If anything, it would show that you have a good support network around you! Sounds like you are doing amazing, try not to worry x

Mine was really lovely and got her ear talked off by my 2 year old. I’ve been lucky with all that I’ve come across, including with my son.
However, I do know that this isn’t always the case and I think you’re right that there’s already what I would consider a red flag with how she’s giving you information about breastfeeding. It would have made me think there was a weird vibe from what you’ve said!
Hopefully it all goes smoothly, but also be confident in yourself and how you feel it’s going. You can request someone different if you feel the vibes are off x
My baby has just turned three months and has started to get more aware of what around them, and sometimes when I take them out in the pram they are wide awake and looking around, I use the flat basket at the moment but I started on really quick trips that last no longer than 10 minutes use the cat seat so they can look around, well with the pram I got the seat section but as my baby can't sit up and can only hold their head a tiny bit during tummy time, what do I do?
Photo shows the pram I have.

Just to let people know who don't know, Morrisons has a deal on Pampers nappies, I got the 50 pack of size 1 for £3 from £8. Also Tesco does a deal on Pampers if you get click and collect or delivery, I think, photo below. I also got the Pampers app which is worthwhile. I just thought I let people know to help save money because it does get expensive.

I literally don't know what to do. I want to stop co-sleeping but it is a nightmare. As soon as I place my baby in his bassinet he'll start screaming bloody murder, or roll onto him belly and wake himself up, or sleep 30 minutes then wake up. It's a battle every night and eventually I'm exhausted and give up. He wins and gets to sleep next to mommy. I don't know what to do. 😭 He sleeps perfectly fine on his own for naps, just not at bedtime. Any advice?

Hey, I’m just wondering how long it was until people felt ready to have sex again after giving birth? Preferably would like to hear from people who gave birth vaginally and possibly people who tore as well. I feel like I’m ready but I’m scared it’ll hurt because of my scar… (in no way is my man pressuring me at all, this is all me😂)
