Hey, I’m just wondering how long it was until people felt ready to have sex again after giving birth? Preferably would like to hear from people who gave birth vaginally and possibly people who tore as well. I feel like I’m ready but I’m scared it’ll hurt because of my scar… (in no way is my man pressuring me at all, this is all me😂)

Everyone’s different doll. If your ready go for it if not that’s ok too

we did try at six weeks but it felt too soon, properly i would say around 2 months for me but it was still more painful than normal and because i’m breastfeeding the libido is very low so a lot of foreplay is appreciated lol

I had a 3rd degree tear. I think we did the first time at 10 weeks, and then it was quite painful so gave it another few months until we started having sex more often

With my first (2nd degree tear and episiotomy) it was 4 months. With my second it was 3 weeks

With my first I had a second degree tear and an episiotomy, we first tried at about 9 weeks pp but it was still a bit sore so waited a couple of weeks before trying again. It was probably around 6 months before it felt "normal".
After my second I only had a really tiny tear and a couple of stitches, lasted 5 weeks and 6 days 😅 all was good 😅 I healed a lot better and much quicker the second time thankfully!

My first born I had a different man in my life and he forced me to have sex ( guilt tripped me into thinking if I didn’t have sex with him he was gonna cheat) within 2 weeks I did not tear but i still had scratches and things like that and it really hurt and I told him and then we waited at the 6 week mark and from that point on until we broke up my vagina was sore when having sex. my second born I’m currently with the man of my dreams and I didn’t tear either, I was good to go around 8 weeks pp. currently pregnant again so yeah! Every body is different and this is a fragile time so take the time if you need too.

It took me until 2 and a half months postpartum mostly because I was nervous and I tore so I wanted to make sure I was fully healed and it’s rough trying to do that with a clingy newborn lol

I had a third degree tear and it took me almost a year to have sex again 🫣 I was too scared bc of the tear but thankfully it felt normal and didn’t hurt at all. Wait until you feel ready!

I had a 2nd degree tear and waited 4 weeks

With both of mine I was really lucky and had uncomplicated vaginal delivery with no tearing. I wanted to try sex again quite quickly after my first (not like the next day 😂 but at maybe 4/5 weeks), because I really missed the intimacy and wanted to feel like my body was my own again. It was physically fine but literally all I was thinking about was my baby being in the other room and whether he was breathing. So it’s complicated even if physically you’re good to go… take the time you need for it to feel right for you.

I weirdly felt ready after 2 weeks and it was the best sex I’ve ever had tbh apart from being a bit painful but I regretted doing it so soon as I was stitched down there and was panicking about my stitches for weeks after!!! All was fine in the end luckily but yeah. Wouldn’t rush it again!
I literally don't know what to do. I want to stop co-sleeping but it is a nightmare. As soon as I place my baby in his bassinet he'll start screaming bloody murder, or roll onto him belly and wake himself up, or sleep 30 minutes then wake up. It's a battle every night and eventually I'm exhausted and give up. He wins and gets to sleep next to mommy. I don't know what to do. 😭 He sleeps perfectly fine on his own for naps, just not at bedtime. Any advice?

curious to know when did yall begin letting your babies self soothe themselves to sleep? any tips? my LO is 8 months, i’ve always had to walk/bounce/put her on my chest to get her to nap or down for the night since she was a nb. she never took to a pacifier.. tried a lot and just didn’t find one she liked to keep in her mouth. will it be impossible without a pacifier?

Just to let people know who don't know, Morrisons has a deal on Pampers nappies, I got the 50 pack of size 1 for £3 from £8. Also Tesco does a deal on Pampers if you get click and collect or delivery, I think, photo below. I also got the Pampers app which is worthwhile. I just thought I let people know to help save money because it does get expensive.
