I’m with my baby 24/7 and sometimes I have a hard time fitting in chores while my bf is as work. Our daughter is very active and attached. If I put her in walker while I do dishes , within 5-10mins she will want to be out. Her naps have gotten shorter as well and sometimes I will nap with her cuz I’m exhausted.
My bf worked n then went to the gym. I offered to order dinner but he said he’d cook.. now he’s home and seen the dishes aren’t done so now he doesn’t want to cook and shook his head at me. Now I feel crappy cuz I’m over thinking what hes probably saying about me to himself..
Wearing her will be difficult w my back pain and she’s heavy af 😂 so any advice or tips is needed ! Please and thank you

My 7 month old is crawling all over the place and kinda same thing. I make yogurt popsicles and put them in those mesh things and it keeps him distracted for me to get at least a few dishes done. otherwise could you maybe block off anything dangerous and let her play around the area?

I completely feel this. My baby wants to crawl freely and hates his playpen and crib and swing anymore but sometimes i can put him in his high chair and give him teethers or toys while i do the dishes and he’ll be content long enough to get them done. Sometimes we call the dog into the kitchen to distract him some too which helps get things done for short periods 😅

I let mine roll around on the floor, in his bouncer with dragon tails on, in his high chair right next to me while I’m do whatever I’m doing. For safety reasons sometimes you can’t have them close by so I just prepare a 100% safe space that allows him all the free will, I put him in there, walk away with a monitor in hand. Fed, clean, burped, toys, snacks even, everything a child could need. He’ll survive while I spend 25-30 mins doing the laundry 🙄 it used to make me feel SOOO guilty but as long as I remember that my kid has the best life possible and the worst part of his day is just that… he’s gonna be fine 🤣

It is a challenging game that's for sure. Things I have done while trying to get kitchen work done include: opening the tuberware cupboard unloading half of it and letting the kid throw everything left onto the floor, giving her some pots and pans to play with, giving her some frozen peas to chase around the high chair, ice cubes in a bowl on the floor, and last but not least putting the baby in the second sink to help with dishes. It isn't easy and only sometimes possible to get kitchen work done at my house.

At this point I’ve just made sure the whole entire area I’m in is baby proof and just let the little guy roam as he pleases with a few toys scattered here and there

My kiddo is the same and wants to be attached to me 24/7. I ended up getting one of those XL play pens (74” x 50”) and it gives him enough space to feel like he’s not cooped up and to move around freely. So I’ll put him in it and as long as he sees me every so often he will sit there for pretty much as long as needed. It’s helped TONS with housework and getting stuff done.

It’s hard. I do everything at night.. well at least load the dishwasher, wash bottles, and sweep. It drives me insane otherwise. But my husband works nights so I can get away with doing everything at night

As long as you don't go hungry or naked I think you are doing just fine. When im staying at home all day baby is in a diaper and im wearing shorts and a comfy bra. If my husband is bothered by the state of things he has 2 hands to help. The babies are only little for a little while.
So there’s a restaurant near where I live that has a kids play attached to a seating area upstairs , there’s 5 signs around saying “ you MUST supervise your children at all times in the play area , adults must remove shoes too “ and two signs in the seating area saying not to leave children in the play area alone while you eat / drink.
This is a very small area too so it’s not hard to just sit on a block and watch.
But unfortunately as it’s attached to a seating area parents take the opportunity to go and sit and eat and let their kids play
I was there with my 2 year old and he was running around having fun with some other kids when a bunch of older kids come running in with a couple younger ones , the older ones were grabbing the younger ones and pushing them down the slide. One got one younger one in a head lock and another was kicking her ! I told them to get off her and I was going talking to their mother.
I asked the parents that was there who’s kid they was and it was non so I went out the play area and she was the only one sat there with her head in her laptop and her headphones on watching a YouTube video ! I went over and said excuse me you’re suppose to supervise your children not your laptop , one is in a headlock being kicked in the head crying.
She started to apologise but she said “ no one had said nothing before “ like so she knows she’s suppose to but doesn’t care ?? I just said people like you are the reason I don’t come here. ( True I avoid going due to the fact parents don’t watch their freaking kids in there )
Admittedly I was sick of it by this point and i definitely lost my cool a little with her so am I the asshole for not just going getting her politely as I had done before

My period is on, and I’m feeling like awful.
And my bf, isn’t too happy . Why? Because I can’t have sex.
He wants oral .. but I’m hurting.
And his next move ? To be pouting man about it. And he told me “you are obligated to give oral when you’re bleeding.”

Mamas, this is all I currently have for my baby who is nearly 6 months old. I feel like she’s starting to get a bit bored of her toys. Any recommendations for things that have kept your little ones entertained?
I do read her books, and she does watch a little bit of TV (not for too long), but do you think that’s enough at this age? What kinds of things are your babies enjoying or playing with that keep them engaged?

My son has just started nursery receiving the 30 funded hours as I work. His nursery charge £15 a day to cover the cost of meals and “extra curricular activities” such as story telling and sensory play… I have queried this as according to DfE guidance these charges cannot be compulsory and the nursery have to give alternatives to parents who cannot pay these extra costs. I’m also questioning how things such as story telling or sensory play can even be considered as an extra curricular activity when they are part of the basic EYFS curriculum and therefore should not be charged for. They have said they do not allow packed lunch and are not offering an alternative to paying for these extra activities. Does anyone have any advice or been in a similar situation?

I have to go to work.My 1 year old daughter is going to pre school 3 days a week 9.30 until 5.30 and it’s so upsetting. She absolutely loves it and is so happy and settled there. But I feel like such an awful mum because I’m at work and I don’t have my baby with me. I have spoken to other mum and they are doing as much as possible to spend as much time as they can to be with their baby’s 1 working from home and asking her mum to be at home with her and the baby all the time and 1 not even sending their child to any pre school at all but I just feel so guilty that I’m not doing the same and part of me enjoys the time away from her so I’m literally sat here crying at the fact that I just don’t know how to feel. I so wish that I could spend all day every day with her but the bottom line is I can’t and everyone says time is so precious and that enjoy then when they are young but I’m just so so so upset that I can’t. I don’t really know what I want out of this post maybe just someone to say that their children still love them even tho they have had to work when they were little 😂😭
Sorry I just didn’t know who to ask about how I feel
