I have to go to work.My 1 year old daughter is going to pre school 3 days a week 9.30 until 5.30 and it’s so upsetting. She absolutely loves it and is so happy and settled there. But I feel like such an awful mum because I’m at work and I don’t have my baby with me. I have spoken to other mum and they are doing as much as possible to spend as much time as they can to be with their baby’s 1 working from home and asking her mum to be at home with her and the baby all the time and 1 not even sending their child to any pre school at all but I just feel so guilty that I’m not doing the same and part of me enjoys the time away from her so I’m literally sat here crying at the fact that I just don’t know how to feel. I so wish that I could spend all day every day with her but the bottom line is I can’t and everyone says time is so precious and that enjoy then when they are young but I’m just so so so upset that I can’t. I don’t really know what I want out of this post maybe just someone to say that their children still love them even tho they have had to work when they were little 😂😭
Sorry I just didn’t know who to ask about how I feel

You’re allowed to enjoy time away from your children, it’s hard work and everyone deserves a break. It doesn’t make you any less of an amazing mum for providing for your children, you’re doing the best you can with what you’ve got, the system for mothers is so messed up. I’ve sent my 2 year old to nursery this week and he’s hating it, the guilt is eating me up. My mum worked a lot when we were growing up and i didn’t love her any less, we had a roof over our head and she did everything she could to give us exactly what we wanted and you’re daughter will also see that one day too!💞

there is nothing wrong with sending your child to nursery! you’re doing what is best for you and your daughter by working and making sure you can pay the bloody bills! no judgement to those mums at alllll but 90% of them that I have personally spoken to are in a privileged position to be able to do that so their comments do not come from an informed place. so i wouldn’t let it upset you, they don’t mean harm but they don’t understand! i don’t know your situation but for me, if i don’t study - i have 0 qualifications so I struggle to find a job, and if i don’t work too, we can’t afford our bills and rent to have somewhere safe to live! my daughter absolutely loves nursery! she does so well there, and her communication, motor skills, just everything have improved massively since going! honestly don’t let other mums in a different position shame you for doing what you need to do and what is best for you and your little one xx
So I'm about 2 months after birth. I have a 3 year old and my recent baby. I have my toddlers toys in baskets around the home and I usually tidy up twice a day once midday then end of day. My toddler tips out the toy basket and it keeps triggering my husband as he can't stand the mess. I have explained that it's normal for toddlers to do this. He wants to throw out all the toys and leave her with a few. I explained that I've spent money on these toys and I'd rather she had them. Any advice?

This morning my husband got out of bed and I was more asleep still than usual. Our little one has become more mobile and somehow managed to roll off of the bed between the bed and nightstand. It’s about 2ft and we have carpet. He’s about 6 months old, rolling, now somewhat crawling.
I heard it immediately got him and he barely cried. As soon as I picked him up he was smiling and giggling. He has been eating, looking at us, grabbing and kicking all like normal.
I don’t see any bumps or bruises and he seems generally okay and unbothered by the entire incident.
My husband is very upset that we let him fall. He isn’t directly blaming me but I know I’m the one who failed our son. The guilt is overwhelming and I feel sick to my stomach. He keeps saying things like “now anytime something is wrong we’re going to think it it’s because when he fell” which makes me more upset 😭
I’m going to call his pediatrician but has this happened to other moms? Please don’t join this to just make me feel worse, I’m already very down on myself about it.

I would love some advice as I really don’t know what to do. My husband’s family are all over from Prague, HK, Indonesia and we have a lunch booked with them tomorrow. My husband has said they now want to do dinner tonight. We have a 10 month old and a 4 year old. My 10 month old is at nursery today and doesn’t nap well and my 4 year old just started school yesterday. He wants us to pick them up and then go for dinner at 6pm (so unlikely we’ll get back before 8:30), and we will need to take the tube to get there. I know that both of my daughters will be grouchy and just wanting me the whole time so it will be utterly exhausting, and we will be pushing our 10 month old to her limit (she doesn’t nap on the go very well at all). My husband also then wants to stay out with his brother to watch a football game (although he said he wouldn’t do this if it was too much). It is incredibly rare that the whole family get together and this might be the last time as the mum is suffering from poor health. My gut is saying to look after my daughters and maybe opt out so that my husband goes and then they see us tomorrow. But I’m also conscious that they’ll all be really disappointed not to see us. Any thoughts?!

So there’s a restaurant near where I live that has a kids play attached to a seating area upstairs , there’s 5 signs around saying “ you MUST supervise your children at all times in the play area , adults must remove shoes too “ and two signs in the seating area saying not to leave children in the play area alone while you eat / drink.
This is a very small area too so it’s not hard to just sit on a block and watch.
But unfortunately as it’s attached to a seating area parents take the opportunity to go and sit and eat and let their kids play
I was there with my 2 year old and he was running around having fun with some other kids when a bunch of older kids come running in with a couple younger ones , the older ones were grabbing the younger ones and pushing them down the slide. One got one younger one in a head lock and another was kicking her ! I told them to get off her and I was going talking to their mother.
I asked the parents that was there who’s kid they was and it was non so I went out the play area and she was the only one sat there with her head in her laptop and her headphones on watching a YouTube video ! I went over and said excuse me you’re suppose to supervise your children not your laptop , one is in a headlock being kicked in the head crying.
She started to apologise but she said “ no one had said nothing before “ like so she knows she’s suppose to but doesn’t care ?? I just said people like you are the reason I don’t come here. ( True I avoid going due to the fact parents don’t watch their freaking kids in there )
Admittedly I was sick of it by this point and i definitely lost my cool a little with her so am I the asshole for not just going getting her politely as I had done before

Hey,
My baby is 7 months, she doesn’t like pureès, and I’m really unsure what to offer her ?
She is ready for food, as I spoke to my doctors, my health visitor, and she’s showing all signs, she will eat snacky things like wafers, and puffs, we’ve given weetabix a go which she was happy with, but I’m just unsure what to offer to a bit of a picky eater🙈
Any tips or advice will be appreciated😊xx

I’m getting prepared for when my little one gets to 6 months and is ready to start solids. How did you mums start with yours? Is it worth just trying one thing at a time e.g. puree food one week then mashed, finger food or can you do all 3 in one sitting so they can try it in all different ways? Any advice welcome :)
