My baby is 5 weeks old. He was breastfeeding well in the beginning. The last week or so I noticed that when he breastfeeds he stops much sooner than he used to and struggles with trapped burps. I can tell because he frantically tries to latch and when he does he gets the saddest most painful look on his face and pulls away. And does that over again unless I pull him away. Then he'll scream and scream until I manage to get the burp out. Then he'll want to nurse again and we'll do the whole thing over again 5 to 10 mins later.
I've noticed this usually happens in the evening. I just tried the gas drops which maybe helped get the burp out a few mins sooner but idk why this started happening.
It's very frustrating because I think he does like to nurse to sleep but he hasn't been able to the last several days because of this gas thing happening. I feel awful hearing him cry and scream to nurse and then cry and scream from gas.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions? Do I just pump and avoid breastfeeding?

Don’t stop breastfeeding! His digestive system is just developing. Both my children had gas issues. With my son, I tried bicycling, belly rubs, gas drops, gripe water and nothing worked. The only thing that worked was to literally fold him in half. Feet by ears. I know this sounds horrible, but it would take maybe two times at most and he would let out the biggest farts. Try it.

Have you tried different breastfeeding positions? Anything that is more upright will help.

Has anything in your diet changed? Have you been drinking body armors? Those can make babe fussy sometimes
Are you putting moisturiser on your babies/ toddlers? I never did as neither my oldest or youngest has particularly dry skin. If so do you have any recommendations?

My daughter is 4. I’m a SAHM. My daughter has been saying hurtful things when she is mad and it’s only directed towards me. She never says mean things to her dad or to her little brother. She will say things like “daddy is my favorite he always plays with me”. “Daddy is the boss you are an old lady”. “Daddy is the best you are not”. Like where is she getting this from? Is this normal? I try to tell her not to say mean things but she will just continue to repeat whatever hurtful thing she said before. It’s been like this for a month now and I need some help here any advice?

Had our health visiting 9m-1y, and was quite surprised with some things that I got told to change, but mainly was surprised at the fact that my health visitor told us that we had to feed her bedtime bottle 30mins before brushing her teeth as the milk softens the enamel, did anyone know this? Because of that she suggested that I change her bedtime routine so that my daughter doesn’t associate the milk with sleep and makes it easier for us to give her the milk earlier. What do you guys think? If you want I can add in the comments other things that surprised me.
