So my daughter was playing on an indoor play ground with mostly children her age in there, about 2-3 kids that were a bit older than her. A little boy about 3-4 was rough housing around all the younger children, my daughter isn’t used to rough housing from other children. Even if she was.. he was being more nasty than rough housing with the younger kids, like my daughter.
Anyways my daughter and the little boy get into the same area that has a seat and my daughter is trying to play with a steering wheel in front of her and the little boy gets between her and the steering wheel, trying to force himself so he could play with it. There was another one right next to it.. and so he does that and my daughter gets slightly pushed back, there’s a seat in that area so she’s resting her arm on it and he purposely sits on her arm and doesn’t get up.. I was watching the whole thing from across the room (bitting literally every part on my being to calm down..) he wasn’t getting up and he just had a nasty attitude, like bouncing… so I get up and rush over. Telling him “please don’t sit on her” he’s looking up at me like he’s sad!!! I feel bad but my daughters feelings come first and I wasn’t being mean to him, just trying to set a boundary for my daughters feelings because she doesn’t talk much or express herself. I picked her up after and told her not to go near him anymore.
After my husband said I seemed mad walking up to the incident and that the dad near him look at him like “oh boy….”
So idk how it came across to others but I was trying to protect my child from what I seen as a little bit of a bully… hoping it was just a really rambunctious boy but idk..
Before that he accidentally punch a little girl smaller than my daughter down on the ground and I didn’t want something similar happening to my daughter.

His parents should have been paying closer attention to him and they should have taken the situation into their own hands but you did a good job mama for protecting your little girl. I would absolutely do the same for my babygirl any day. Don't beat yourself up over it

Your daughter will probably remember you in that moment as her hero and tbh I think that’s all that matters x
Thank you and 🥹❤️
The mom had him sit with her for a minute when he knocked the other little girl down the first time but ig couldn’t leave because she was alone with him and his brother, I get that. Can’t punish the other kid for not doing anything but playing nicely.. but I wish she was paying attention in that moment because I would have said something to her if it had continued to escalate. But my husband said it was time to go like 5 minutes after too

Where was his parents? Nothing annoys me more than when parents aren’t keeping an eye on their kid. You definitely did the right thing. At this age you are her voice too.

If the parents of any child cant be botherd to watch them to make sure their playing nicely/ok then they should except another parent may tell them off/redirect them.
I've had to do it myself when I clearly saw the mother purposely look the other way when her little boy grabbed my daughter by her collar and pulled her backwards.
I went over the second time and told him "NO thats not nice" he started cring and acting sad but im not ever going to sit back and let my child be pushed around.
You 100% did the right thing

There's absolutely nothing worse than parents who use soft play as babysitters.
You did absolutely the right thing, all you did was politely correct his behaviour.

You did the right thing, I go STRAIGHT to children whose parents aren’t watching them too!
My period is on, and I’m feeling like awful.
And my bf, isn’t too happy . Why? Because I can’t have sex.
He wants oral .. but I’m hurting.
And his next move ? To be pouting man about it. And he told me “you are obligated to give oral when you’re bleeding.”

My son has just started nursery receiving the 30 funded hours as I work. His nursery charge £15 a day to cover the cost of meals and “extra curricular activities” such as story telling and sensory play… I have queried this as according to DfE guidance these charges cannot be compulsory and the nursery have to give alternatives to parents who cannot pay these extra costs. I’m also questioning how things such as story telling or sensory play can even be considered as an extra curricular activity when they are part of the basic EYFS curriculum and therefore should not be charged for. They have said they do not allow packed lunch and are not offering an alternative to paying for these extra activities. Does anyone have any advice or been in a similar situation?

So my son is 2, he will be three at the end of this month he looks older than he is he is taller than most his age yes. With this being said he has been home with me and I do take him to the park daily , my son honestly always wants to play with everybody he’s the sweetest kid ever seriously. But there are days when there’s a kid or two he comes into contact with who are just mean and they do tend to be older or maybe the same age. Mean as in taking away a rock he found literally grabbing it out of his hands running away and throws it in a bush so he can’t find it … the occasional shove or push that leads to me intervening because wtf are u doing … all this gives me anxiety with taking him to the park or even knowing if we go it may happen. I’m laying in bed with all these thoughts and my heart hurts for him because he simply is too young to understand let alone defend himself. Another example this little girl she was younger she pushed him cause she wanted the swing but the difference is mom was right there saw and apologized immediately.. he did cry and I did comfort him and console him also letting him know she’s younger and doesn’t know any better she is still learning. I told him to not let anyone hit him because it isn’t ok. But again my heart just hurts for him. He’s so innocent and pure and some of these kids are straight up bullies it’s disgusting and disturbing… Am I the only one who feels this way nd do you have any kind of tips on this ?

I’m with my baby 24/7 and sometimes I have a hard time fitting in chores while my bf is as work. Our daughter is very active and attached. If I put her in walker while I do dishes , within 5-10mins she will want to be out. Her naps have gotten shorter as well and sometimes I will nap with her cuz I’m exhausted.
My bf worked n then went to the gym. I offered to order dinner but he said he’d cook.. now he’s home and seen the dishes aren’t done so now he doesn’t want to cook and shook his head at me. Now I feel crappy cuz I’m over thinking what hes probably saying about me to himself..
Wearing her will be difficult w my back pain and she’s heavy af 😂 so any advice or tips is needed ! Please and thank you
