My newborn has weepy eye

Happened to both my babies in the newborn stage. If you are breastfeeding, breast milk helps and if not, just cooled down boiled water with cotton bud helped to :)

More than likely. My son had the same at about this age. I used cool down boiled water and cleaned the eye but it didn’t clear it. I ended up taking him to the doctors and they prescribed me an eye ointment at it cleared it up straight away.

It can also be thrush that may have been transmitted through childbirth. I had that with my second. Hope this helps and you manage to get them sorted :) x

Mine had it too, I used cooled down boiled water and a cotton pad to gently wipe it clean. And gave her tear duct massages when she was breastfeeding. Cleared up in a week! X
