Traumatic event at park TW

Was at the park sitting with husband watching our daughter play in the sand pit. There’s a big wooded bushy area next to the park. I always see sketchy people come in and out and a lot of homeless set up tents in there. And as I’m sitting there this women walks from the area crying and looking distressed and comes up to us saying that there’s someone in there who is stabbed and bleeding and needs help and her phone is dead. I quickly sprung up and called 911 for her and she takes me to where he was in the bushes and I can hear him groaning and asking for help and she’s crying trying to answer the 911 operator on speaker phone and i got really scared cause she said that he was cut open from his ribs to his belly button and not to go in the bushes cause it’s traumatic and luckily law enforcement got there right away. But a part of me feels bad for not going into the bushes to try and help him or at least show him that someone is here getting help. I was yelling through the bushes telling him “help is coming” but idk. The operator said to put pressure on the wound but the woman said she already tried and he was moving and crawling around. Idk I’m just thankful she found him and that emergency services arrived within minutes. But it was really scary. And although I didn’t witness the actual injured person I’m a little traumatized. I just needed to let this out cause it was not anything I expected to happen. :( I really hope they are okay and I hope they find who ever did this.

I'm so sorry this happened... 😢 I hope the guy is okay and has a smooth recovery! You are a kind person and you did the right thing. It's a risky situation and idk what I would have done honestly. I've been in a similar situation. I went tubing for a girl's weekend years ago and some guy went on a stabbing spree. A 17 year old boy died a gruesome death and many were critically injured. We did not witness any of it but we heard of it when we reached the end of the river waiting for the bus to pick us up... They still had not caught that guy yet and we were all in fear for our lives and had to help people out of the river and check on our neighbors around the campsite. It wasn't chaotic or anything we all just pulled it together and helped out. I was in a really weird headspace for a while almost like survivors guilt... I am glad you and your family are okay and I hope you find a healthy way to cope. ❤️

Feeling sad and lost

My ex partner left me at 38 weeks, just before baby was born at 38+4, we’ve been living a lie since playing happy families in front of his family and it’s killing me, the rug was pulled from under me and blindsighted as I never envisioned us ever splitting up and I’m absolutely heartbroken, had babies first family visit out today and it’s broke me mentally, I’ve been sobbing begging her dad to love me, asking if we can still try again cause he told me it was a “break not a breakup” I feel in limbo, he won’t communicate. I don’t want my poor baby to be alone without her dad, her dad and me were the endgame and I cannot ever imagine having another person in her life to replace him. And for me I’ve lost my partner and he’s the only one I want to turn to, I feel so broken having no affection whatsoever or even anyone to talk to, I don’t really have any friends or anything and I genuinely just need a hug idk how else to cope, does anyone have any ideas of how I can sort my mental out, I’m just so sad and trying to stay strong while raising a baby who isn’t even a week old, I’m exhausted and just feel like the emotions sooner or later are gonna play catch up and catch me off guard when I least expect it. I don’t wanna burnout ):

Cosleeping

We cosleep with our 13 month old and have done since he was 2 months old (making the most of this precious time before he grows up and finds us embarrassing lol!) but we are at a point where I’m like a, do we get a super king bed (currently we have a kingsize and it’s getting cramped!) or b, do we get a bay cosleeper and let him have some more space that way…. Curious of what other parents have done/any advice! Thanks in advance 😊

Bed time hell

My baby goes down in the next to me, sometimes asleep, sometimes drowsy but can spend up to an hour waking up crying. I don’t let her cry it out but do the pick up put down method but my god it’s tough…..

Tell me - how can it become easier????

Nap during the day

Has anyone else’s 3mo just refused to nap during the day? The past couple weeks my boy absolutely refuses and whenever he does go down it’s only for 15mins at a time but incredibly rare😫

10:30pm and as usual my toddler is still awake...

My partner and I are absolutely exhausted. Every night we battle to get toddler (24 months) to bed before 10...sometomes before 11pm...
Last nap usually ends between 2-3pm so I just dont understand. He tends not to wake until 8am as we are all exhausted by this...i cant see that being up an hour/half hour later than other toddlers will mean he goes to bed so late?
