My baby goes down in the next to me, sometimes asleep, sometimes drowsy but can spend up to an hour waking up crying. I don’t let her cry it out but do the pick up put down method but my god it’s tough…..
Tell me - how can it become easier????

It's the 4 month sleep regression. It just gets better with time. Don't worry about sleep training. It's a developmental leap that doesn't need training out of. It will just get better soon.
The first sleep regression is by far the hardest. Hang in there xxx

I have no advice but we are in the exact same boat with waking up really blind crying for the first few hours of his sleep since the sleep regression began. He is inconsolable for his dad and only settles with boob (but isn’t hungry). After that he wakes frequently but doesn’t cry when waking. It is tough to see him so upset and we can’t figure out any obvious reason.

Walking with the baby around the room or going outside in the pram helps. Also when you put her down lights off and put your hand gently on their chest for some time maybe afew minutes so they can feel you before moving away.
I’m having a boy. 💙 And honestly, I’m really sad and hurt about it.
I know some people might think this sounds immature or that I should just be grateful, and I am grateful. I love my baby already. But I think I’m grieving the little girl I had pictured in my head.
With everything I’ve been going through and all the pain and hurt I’ve experienced, I think a baby girl gave me something to look forward to. I imagined having her as my motivation to be strong, to do this on my own, and to start a new chapter of my life. I pictured the bond we would have, and I think I was holding onto that image more than I realized.
Finding out I’m having a boy brought up a lot of emotions I wasn’t expecting. And I feel guilty even saying that because I don’t want my baby to ever feel unwanted or unloved. He is wanted. He is loved. I’m just having a hard time adjusting to the future I had imagined being different.
I know one day I’m going to look at my little boy and wonder how I ever imagined my life without him. I know I’ll love him in a way I can’t even understand yet. But right now, I’m allowed to be sad too.
I’m not sad that I’m having my baby. I’m sad that I had to let go of the little girl I had already imagined in my heart. And I think it’s okay to admit that. 💙

2 under 2. Currently have the joie highchair but will need to get another soon when i start weaning baby & this one is bulky!!
I have been told to get 2 ikea highchairs as they are stackable. My toddler has chunky legs - can anyone provide pics of the ikea highchair with a toddler in lol? Or can anyone recommend a highchair that has straps and not the bit in the middle of the legs for my toddler?
The website only has pictures of a smaller kid in it.
Thanks !

I need advice! My husband is 36 and was diagnosed with autism less than a month before we found out I was pregnant. Also has adhd (which he has known since high-school). He/we self diagnosed him several years ago and have kinda always had suspicions but it wasn't official till this year. But this whole pregnancy I've been struggling with feeling like his new diagnosis, problems and changes are more important or like bigger than the changes im going through. I cant loose my sh*t, or get irritated, or experience really any pregnancy hormonal emotions that are irrational. And can only be explained through pregnancy hormones. Hes very literal, always has been, but now more than ever. He wants/needs an explanation for EVERYTHING and its exhausting. His anger has been a hot topic recently too. Hes never been abusive toward me. He just expresses anger very vocally. He doesn't scream in my face. But like makes angry grunts, loud huffs if that makes any sense. And basically says outloud everything his thinking. Making the other person feel like everything is their fault and they are responsible and almost like they did it on purpose. Even if their not at fault or it was an accident. Afterwards he will apologize and say he wasn't mad at me and just mad at the situation. But the damage has already been done and being pregnant and hormonal im usually crying. Which doesn't help anything. He claims I dont understand autism and what hes going through and how big of a life changing thing this is. And feels like I dont understand or support what hes going through because a few times I've mentioned that it feels like hes using the diagnosis as an excuse sometimes. I worry the way he processes anger will be confusing to our daughter and that a young child won't fully understand that daddy isn't mad at her. He says he just needs to freak out and work through the emotions when hes upset. But hes so vocal I feel like thats confusing for a kid.
Sorry, that was a very long rant. But if anyone has any tips on how to navigate a newly diagnosed autistic partner it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

My sis in laws fiance offered to drop me and my son who is 11 months old home. We had taken public transport to her house as we always do as we don't drive. I said no because we didn't have the car seat part of our pram but would you have accepted the lift or not? Firstly I am just worried about my baby's safety but am I being over the top? Secondly I am a proper law abiding citizen and I catastrophize everything so I feel we will be the ones who get into an accident that day (God forbid) or we will get caught by the authorities

Is anyone in any form of routine?? I am struggling with the nighttime part. We get to 8pm and he just cries constantly but can’t seem to settle him to sleep. Usually he goes to bed around 10.30pm.
