Hey, when is the earliest time I can moisturise my baby? I waited couple weeks with my first born and she had really dry skin and eczema.
When do apply oil/cream on newborns. How often? and can I apply anything on their hair or should I? can anyone share their experience please? I feel so anxious I’m not sure when I can. I am planning to give baby a bath on week one. So do I moisturise after that?

To be honest I wouldn't use a single product on a new born. They don't need anything but water at all.

I wouldn’t use anything for a new born either, allow their skin to be as nature intended

If they had bad cradle cap I’d use coconut oil and then when of those scrubbers or like metal brushes to help get into. Obviously get. And lotion I never really did because I always forgot but lots of people start right away.

We were told by our health visitor to moisturize our baby from day 1 so we’ve been doing that. As soon as he comes out the bath or whenever we think his skin looks dry. His skin is great too (he’s now 3 months old). Also remember to do behind their ears!
We use a baby moisturizer, non scented! Don’t use any products that have fragrance or are fruit based (eg cocnut) as it’s an irritant to their skin. Also don’t use Vaseline.

I am at odds with the above comment as I only ever moisturize with coconut oil, and use aquaphor at every diaper change. My girl has really good skin! And has never had a diaper rash by doing this method. She also still has not been washed with soap at 11 weeks, I did start adding calming bath to the water at 9 weeks. Her father and I have very sensitive skin so I am happy this works for her.
My mother-in-law wants to come over the day my baby has her first shots since leaving the hospital, and I don’t want her to come over, but her dad says she could help, but I don’t think she could help. Am I wrong? I feel like having her there would only stress me out more because I’m nervous about the shots to begin with. Don’t get me wrong, I love my mother-in-law, but I don’t want someone trying to hold my baby when she’s upset.

Now ik this isn’t a baby question but I really want some sort of bush trimmer (idk how else to word that sorry) I hate shaving because of the itch but it’s just uncomfy if it gets too long. I was looking at the Gillette one but apparently it only works as long as the first charge and then never again. Recommendations please ladies tysm

Hiya, has anyone used a breast milk collector to collect leaking milk at night? I didn't realise my breast milk was even leaking until I forgot to wear breast pads. The milk had leaked through to my bedsheets.... I'm wondering if a breast milk collector would be good to capture this?

Something I experienced that I think new moms should be talking about more. The first time I had sex after having a baby was not enjoyable. How I described it then was it was like a ‘sore throat’ just down there where the friction felt sore. It’s normal, it eventually goes away it took a couple months for it to feel normal again.
