My son turns 4 next month and I don’t think we’re doing a bday party- first year we haven’t. Am I a bad mom for not doing one? 😭 money is beyond tight right now and I’d rather spend it on doing something he loves and not entertaining others. I feel so terrible about it.

We don't do parties we do trips. We have 3 different types of trips: long, short, and multi day
It all depends on money and how long we started planning. We typically stay with friends or family. Long trips are planned several months in advance and last 1 week, 6+ hrs away, with a couple things pre-planned but mostly do whatever we find in the moment. Short trips are like a 3 day weekend 3-5 hrs away. Multi day trips are throughout the birthday month, 3hrs or less away.
Often we try to find a way to not spend so much on things. Like our children's museum is 3hrs from us and $5 per person because of wic. We pack some food and the most we spend on anything is gas which is $30

Maybe set up a play date with friends, or do tons of balloons to wake up to. There are lots of ways to make it special and it’s very little money.

We stopped doing parties a few years back and do trips as well! It’s not always a long trip often just a weekend trip but it’s always so fun and now it’s something my kids look forward to. They aren’t concerned with parties but for their big milestones we do cake and ice cream with close family but nothing big. Just the cake and then a trip!

I can completely understand where you are coming from as I am in a similar situation! This is what I plan to do ... I signed my son up for Nothing Bunt Cakes birthday rewards for a birthday freebie. I'm getting some balloons and other birthday decorations for him to wake up to from the Dollar Tree. And I'm thinking about taking him somewhere fun like am indoor play place or the park depending on my budget. He LOVES pizza so I'll take him for a slice at Costco. And then afterwards, a kids movie of his choice on Hulu at home with popcorn. I'll make the day all about him and I know he'll enjoy that. We got this mama!
I’m currently 36+5 and have been in 4 times so far with reduced movements. I have low PAPP-A so have been advised to keep an eye on movements but now that I’m getting closer to term I’m worried about being induced. This is my second baby and with my first I went naturally at 39 weeks, so an induction scares me! Obviously I want what’s best for the baby but I feel like I’m talking myself out of going into triage again just incase they suggest an induction! Has anyone else experienced an induction due to reduced movements?

Hello everyone. I have a son who was born April 5, 2024... And I just found out that I am pregnant with baby number 2, but little bean is also due in April 2027. For those of you that have kids born in the same month, how do you handle or prepare for this?

I am 42 +1 today. I still am measured at 1cm
and 50% effaced. Everything looked great on scans. I can’t remember with my previous pregnancies how dilated I was before birth. How dilated were you before active labor?

This is my second pregnancy and I’m 37+2 (due 5th Oct). I got told at my midwife appointment baby is engaged. Can this mean labour could come soon?

Does anyone else's nausea/sickness get worse when on the computer? I think it's the combination of the screen and the movement/swivel from my office chair.
Just interested to know if anyone else has had this!?
