First world problem 😭😂

How are we cleaning the straps on the high chair? Our one is white and even with the bibs on my LO still manage to drop food on it 🫠 I can remove it but after each meal is exhausting to and won’t get dry either until the next feed… anyone have any tips please 🫣

Am I being unreasonable?

My baby is weighing up on the 50th centile and has been since 6/7 weeks (now 13) health visitor is insiting we feed her more and also want us to go back AGAIN just to weigh her?
My baby feeds every couple of hours, burps well and rarely cries. She only wakes up once in the night for food. She also does all the usual things you would expect a baby her age to do. She is chirpy, smiley and calm pretty much all the time.

Am I being unreasonable to not want to feed her more milk (health visitor is suggesting we up the amount by 33%!?)

She currently has around 930ml over an average of 8 bottles in 24 hours. Her weight is plotting perfectly along the 50th curve, but she was born around the 75th.
(Throughout pregnancy I was plotting just below the 50th too then in the last couple of weeks shot up to 90th)

I am genuinely asking if you think I’m being unreasonable because I can be quite adverse to being told what to do 😅

Nursery rules - sleeping

Its been my 2 year olds second day today, only there 70 minutes, meant to be 3 hours from thursday, when i picked him up today, because hes fallen asleep just before pickup, she was saying hes not allowed to sleep, that they dont have a safe place to put him if he sleeps. She was insinuating that he’r lose his 2 year placement there due to this, that they cant have him if he naps, i brought up that this was fine a few years ago with my daughter napping still, as theyre 2, all she said was rules have changed.
Yet everywhere ive looked, the EYFS states they can sleep, and school must legally have a safe place for them to sleep

Next to me cribs?

Hi all.

I'm expecting my first in a couple of months so after some advice on next to me cribs.

We plan on putting baby next to dad's side of the bed - we've heard it can help them to settle. We totally might change that if it doesn't work but that's the initial plan.

We don't want to sleep with the side of the next to me down just for babies safety (I know some people do it and feel safe, and I pass no judgement on whatever works for anyone else, but personally we don't want to).

So we think having a zip down side might be too tricky in the middle of the night so we're thinking a button-style one might be easier?

We're maybe thinking the mamas and papas Lua? Does anyone have experience (good or bad) of that?

Are there any benefits to having one where the sides come down fully if we don't plan to co-sleep?

First time parents here so after any advice on things in relation to this we might not have thought of please!

I'm 35+4 and I keep feeling like oh my actual god what the hell are we doing!!!! I'm having a baby?! Have I done the right thing?! Can I do this?! I don't know if we're ready for this! Please tell me this is normal and everyone feels like this...I'm 31 happily married and we've always wanted a family...this baby wasn't an accident! We tried hard for her but now she's nearly here I am absolutely petrified

Reassurance?

My LO is 13 months old. He understands EVERYTHING. I say get the ball bring it to me he does. I ask him to show me the planes he points. He waves he claps. Everytime I speak to him he responds with ‘ooohh’
He babbles dadada wawawawa bababa and constantly makes noises. Like oooohh ahhhh uhhhh but no proper real word yet. Should I be worried?

My baby keeps bursting out crying. What could be the reason?

My baby girl is 13 days old today and i am worried about the cries she has been showing me since Sunday. She would burst out crying for a short period and scrunch her self up showing what looks like pain in her stomach. Shes also crying when she passes wind and at the end of her feeds. I am doing a combination of formula and breastmilk, i am using infacol as it could be colic, massaging her daily and she cries when i do that, i just dont know what to do. I took her A&E yesterday and they said she is fine but im not convinced as she’s really upset and she’s not normally like this. Any advice please.
