I know weekdays are gonna be super busy with office work and household chores while taking care of baby. Weekends will be mostly resting at home. Even if i wanna go for a holiday, i may have to think a lot about it. What about me time and my interests? Any tips on surviving the first year after having a baby?

Make sure your husband is doing his part. There's way too many lazy men who are barely changing diapers or keeping baby while mom has time to herself. You don't just want to survive, you want to be able to thrive in motherhood. Motherhood doesn't mean giving all to baby and leaving nothing for yourself

I also agree with the above comments. My son is 2 and I’ve never felt like I’ve “lost myself”, that I’m the default parent, that I carry the entire mental load, etc. Because I have an amazing husband. I have watched many women struggle because their partners are not nearly as involved as they should be. And accept the bare minimum.
As for the balance of everything, we’ve just found things to make our life easier, not harder. A routine and tricks to speed things up.
Examples:
Routine:
- Friday my husband washed our sons laundry while we relax in the evening and the weekend he does our laundry
- I vacuum upstairs Saturday morning
- clean kitchen every night
- vacuum main floor every other day
Tricks:
- I clean bathrooms as needed. Every bathroom has cleaning supplies and if I go to pee and have five minutes I wipe it all down
- grocery delivery for 7am on the weekend, I add things throughout the week as it comes up
- meal prep Sunday during nap. Ill make egg cups for
I went to Tesco today and went for a walk down the home isle to have a quick look, and I saw this Highland cow doorstop. He was so cute so I picked him up and I was cuddling him and I started crying about how cute he was, then I started giggling at how ridiculous I was being, so I stood in this isle hugging a door stop while uncontrollably crying and giggling at the same time 🤣🤣 pregnancy is turning me into a crazy person. Highland cow obviously came home with me.
Tell me your unhinged breakdown stories!

Not sure if it’s me but I have 2 and the idea of another baby terrifies me! Not the baby itself but the pregnancy, labour, post partum. I feel like i now understand it’s all chances and luck how it goes and I feel like doing it twice is enough stress. I had a bad birth experience and a good one. Not sure I’d like to find out the in between experience 😂

The first trimester literally sucks, I’m nauseous and exhausted all day and I feel like a vegetable. I just want my body back..

Any advice? I’m currently 25 weeks and I’m so un interested in food. After being so so hungry leading up to this I’m so confused. I’ve been struggling a lot with acid and still having sick days etc but even on days I’m fine I really have to force myself. Any one else struggling?
