Daytime naps

My little one is five months old and she refuses to sleep during the day. If we manage to get her down she’s either in the pram or after a feed. At night she feeds and then sleeps but wakes after an hour and a half to feed again or screams. Her wake windows can be over four hours long. I know that’s too long and I’m exhausted and emotional. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you tried swaddling? It's the only way ours sleeps for a decent amount of time x

We had a similar situation. We got the rockit and attached it to the pram. We now lay her down in the bassinet with the rockit on and she naps for an hour.

Oh I remember these days so well. It is exhausting and I feel your pain 😭 my little girl went through something similar and just would not sleep in the day or it would take ages to get her to sleep. I felt like I was losing my mind 😞 I can’t remember how long it went on for but it does pass.

Probably things you already do but try :
Dark room, night light, white noise, staying in the room / singing to her.

I also had the pram downstairs at one point and was letting her sleep in that🙈 you just do what works best for you to get through it all. Don’t compare to what others do that was my biggest mistake x

Just a positive note…

Everyone warned me about the first three months being very demanding and difficult but now that we have overcome, I want to share that you will sleep again, you’ll start to enjoy routines and their smiles get bigger so it makes it all worth it 😀

No Routine!!!!

My 6 month old has no routine, and it’s not for lack of trying, he just never settles into one. His bottles are all over the place, sometimes going 2 hours in between, sometimes going 4. We can’t get him to sleep more than 20 minutes during the day. I need some routine and predictability. Pls help

I don't get how moms can't cosleep

I coslept with my first two and now I cosleep with my third, and much like breastfeeding is natural, it feels natural for me and my baby to cosleep. But now my baby has been admitted into the hospital, and I can't sleep with my baby. It feels so wrong to not have my baby at my side, to have to watch my baby all by themself. I understand the risks that many moms will say, as well as some needing it for their mental health, but I guess now as we are forced to sleep separately it has made me think. I hate not having my baby sleep by me, and I am sure the situation of being in the hospital is what is triggering me to feel this way and write this, as well as my PPA, but I couldn't imagine outside of mental health reasons, not willingly cosleeping.

I think this post was just more of a vent as I watch my little baby sleep in a hospital bed, waiting for doctors to tell us what's wrong

Need some words of wisdom please! Struggling mama here. Desperate for some help 😢

I am absolutely shattered, my 3 year old toddler (who doesn’t sleep the best) literally is barely sleeping now at all! The past 3/4 nights have been absolutely tragic. Admittedly he has a cough, so he might be a bit unwell and I understand the cough keeps him awake or wakes him when he’s sleeping however his usual first stretch of sleep is pretty much gone, which we were having a solid 4/5 hours then restless sleep. Usually he wakes around 6am but he’s been getting up around 5am, we are currently sat downstairs because we’ve given up on sleep. I really struggle to get back to sleep when woken so sleep hasn’t happened at all for me tonight think I’ve had 45 mins and the thought of a day literally running on fumes is making me want to cry my eyes out. Is there a sleep regression at 3 years old or I’m wondering if he’s having a growth spur? As he’s just had porridge at 5am as well as he said he’s hungry! I don’t know what to do but I’m a single mama, so any advice for sleep welcome! I am with someone who isn’t his dad, and we stay his most of the week where he has his own room there but he does not stay in his bed at the minute for longer than an hour! Also we are staying my mums tonight and we share a bed there due to lack of rooms.. I also have a 14 hour day tomorrow at work so I really really need some help! Very desperate with what to do going forward because I’m worried the lack of sleep will stick and he’ll just never sleep properly again 😢

Baby carrier??

Please can any recommend a good carrier, my little girl is 4 months old, I want one with good neck support so I don’t have the hold her head from bobbing about so much when she falls asleep if that makes sense. I currently have a baby bjorn & I hate it. I need one with good back support also!! Thanks 😊😊
