I am absolutely shattered, my 3 year old toddler (who doesn’t sleep the best) literally is barely sleeping now at all! The past 3/4 nights have been absolutely tragic. Admittedly he has a cough, so he might be a bit unwell and I understand the cough keeps him awake or wakes him when he’s sleeping however his usual first stretch of sleep is pretty much gone, which we were having a solid 4/5 hours then restless sleep. Usually he wakes around 6am but he’s been getting up around 5am, we are currently sat downstairs because we’ve given up on sleep. I really struggle to get back to sleep when woken so sleep hasn’t happened at all for me tonight think I’ve had 45 mins and the thought of a day literally running on fumes is making me want to cry my eyes out. Is there a sleep regression at 3 years old or I’m wondering if he’s having a growth spur? As he’s just had porridge at 5am as well as he said he’s hungry! I don’t know what to do but I’m a single mama, so any advice for sleep welcome! I am with someone who isn’t his dad, and we stay his most of the week where he has his own room there but he does not stay in his bed at the minute for longer than an hour! Also we are staying my mums tonight and we share a bed there due to lack of rooms.. I also have a 14 hour day tomorrow at work so I really really need some help! Very desperate with what to do going forward because I’m worried the lack of sleep will stick and he’ll just never sleep properly again 😢

Oh lovely, you’re definitely not alone 😭❤️ My little one has been doing something very similar for the past week because of her teeth. She used to sleep from 9pm until 7am like a dream, and now she wakes up crying and literally NOTHING makes her happy 😩😂
She woke me at 3am last night, finally went back to sleep and I thought I’d get some sleep too… nope! I ended up cleaning up all the toys and basically the whole house while she slept 😂 It was 6:20am, I was already on my third coffee and my older one was getting up at 7 for school ☕️😂
So I completely understand the “I’m running on fumes and could cry” feeling. You’re doing amazing, especially as a single mum. ❤️ And honestly, I don’t think a few bad weeks means they’ll suddenly never sleep again. Hopefully once the cough/teething passes, things settle back down. Sending you lots of coffee and strength! 😂☕️❤️

Hey lovely your not alone, my little one has very enlarged tonsils so she used to wake quite a bit here are a few suggestions to try and see how you get on. I also noticed with my one is if we stayed somewhere she would always have a little anxiety so maybe keep little one close to you/same room as you. When my little one has a cold usually i prop the matress up slightly with a pillow underneath as it helps to open the airways, usually bedtime routine is warm bath pjs on, medicine ( cough meds pain meds if needed) sit in a dim lighted room read books and have cuddles for about an hour then we lay in bed and usually little one falls asleep within 30/45 mins i stay nxt to her an extra 15mins so i know shes fully alseep, go and do what i need todo and then i place her in her bed with a tshirt that i have worn that day ( as long as its not too dirty).

If she wakes during the night ill use a dim light and put her in the bed with me again and see what happens usually she falls asleep again, when you wake try keep it in your mind or say to yourself i need sleep, or something that will make you tired and want to fall back to sleep. As i know most of us when we wake we are like oh i gotta do abc today and thats it when the brains fully awake theres no going bk to bed.

What time is bedtime?
How new is the partner?
Consistency is really important for children and staying in different beds and set ups likely isn’t helping.
Being unwell atm almost certainly isn’t helping my eldest always sleeps terribly with a cough x
We went to explore pushchairs at mamas and papas and they really seem to encourage you to buy the ocarro package which is 12kg + and bulky once folded. Are these realistic to use post 6 months or is it better to go with something like Joolz/Nuna which are most compact but less sturdy I guess.

My baby girl is 13 days old today and i am worried about the cries she has been showing me since Sunday. She would burst out crying for a short period and scrunch her self up showing what looks like pain in her stomach. Shes also crying when she passes wind and at the end of her feeds. I am doing a combination of formula and breastmilk, i am using infacol as it could be colic, massaging her daily and she cries when i do that, i just dont know what to do. I took her A&E yesterday and they said she is fine but im not convinced as she’s really upset and she’s not normally like this. Any advice please.

I need a bit of advice. I don’t know if maybe I’m being a bit too protective or sensitive or maybe easily annoyed.. anyway I feel like all of weight of having the baby falls on me. My partner has 2 older kids but I still have to remind him to give our 5 month old a nap and to change her nappy as most of the time he won’t do it or says he forgets. Anyway the part that got me tonight was I had asked him if he could please see to the baby the next time she wakes and is unsettled ( i do 100% of the time so shouldn’t be an issue) so he gets up with a moan and she starts screaming uncontrollably and she never is like this. So I’m lying worried like is she ok? He tells her to shut up and that he’s gonna be annoyed if he wakes up his other daughter who happens to be staying the night, and then says she needs to not be so loud. So I tell him to take her into another room to try settle her he refuses and says she just needs to go to sleep. At this point she’s going mad so as always it falls on me. I’m already shattered from the every other night wakings so I say give her to me I’ll try. She settles straight away. Am I being too sensitive or am I right to be upset with how he was with her ? She’s a baby, she can’t control being upset 🤯🥺

So my little girl hits 4 months tomorrow and for some reason I've decided now is the time I'm cutting the dummy habbit cold turkey.
We've got through today with lots of crying on her part and patience on mine but I'm questioning everything!
Nap 1-I tried to bounce/rock/tap for 20 mins then we reset with 5 mins outside before dad had a go then aborted mission and went for a drive. (50 min nap)
Nap 2- More successful Bouncing and tapping then blasting pink noise and blowing on her face whilst laid on my bed. (2 hour nap with a breast feeding rescue after 45 mins)
Nap 3- Went for an almost 2 hour walk with the pram for her to sleep all of 30 mins
Nap 4- tried the car again for her to scream you the point of choking then breast fed to sleep at home (30 min nap)
Then after trying all the usual tricks ive resorted to breastfeeding to sleep tonight for mine and her sanity.
Am I creating another issue with feeding to sleep or is it completely natural for this age and breast fed babies to be fed to sleep and is it something that can be broken as she used to sleep 8 hours before Waking for a feed but she wants her dummy replacing too often in thr night now and I dont want feeding to be the only thing to settle here back down if she wakes more in the night without her dummy.

Is this case for anyone else?
He has pretty much been like this from birth. Only will sleep when being held or in the car. If he is in the car, it's for about 30 mins max. If on me, it could be 2 hours. This is my second child, my first would nap in the day no issue, but never really slept at night. My son barely sleeps through the day and wakes often, sometimes hourly, at night. I know each baby is different and as this is likely to be my last, I am trying to soak up each minute as I know it will pass, however just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this?
