I’m 37 weeks on Friday and I started getting lower back pain two hours ago, and some period pain. I also feel like I have to empty myself out for some reason. I’ve taken some pain relief so we will see if that helps but I’m not sure if I’m in early labour or if I’m overreacting and thinking 2+2=5, anyone feel this way recently?

Sounds like the early stages of my labour with my first! I would make a note of what's happening and when, how long for, etc. All the best!

I hope this doesn't sound dumb, but in my experience with my first, it really doesn't matter. I would definitely rest up and take it easy regardless 😊 and obviously stat aware of warning signs. But when it's active labour, you will definitely know. I think I drove myself insane my first pregnancy by reading too much into every little thing I felt from 37 weeks onwards. My daughter was born at 40 + 5 weeks 😅 it's so hard to NOT do it, but in reality, it made every day worse for me I think and I couldn't enjoy the time. Then when my baby did finally come, I couldn't believe that I thought all those little niggles meant something 😅

Hey lovely. I have this exact same thing I am 37 weeks. I also had this right up until I was 40 weeks in my first pregnancy. I think it's pretty normal, I believe that when you are in labour you will just know. However you know your body more than anyone so if not sure go and get checked. Xx

I've been having these symptoms for the past 2 weeks! Started at 37, I'm 39 + 2 today and still no sign of progression. So it could be something or nothing. Best thing is to rest and ignore until actual contractions start.

Update: I think I must have just strained my back bc it all went away with pain relief and I was able to sleep for several hours so maybe I did overthink things 🤣🤣
Me and my partner are TTC but if we do he will be 44 by the time the baby is here. Or older if it takes a while

Whether is baby staying home with your partner or first date night, what was your timeline?

Found out on the 1st of September with a clear blue digital which said 1-2 weeks. Today, my lines are looking lighter and again the digital said 1-2 weeks, which suggest my HCG isn’t rising as it should be😕 this will be my third loss in a row since July😪
I had a positive feeling about this one as the lines were much darker but now, they seem to be fading. I’m not coping😭 why is my body failing me? I don’t understand. I’ve not had any bleeding yet, do I have the right to be upset?

For the past few weeks I’ve had quite strong braxton hicks, but I’ve put it down to probably doing too much at the time. Midwife appointment last week said baby’s head is engaged, which would explain why I feel so much pressure in my pelvis a lot and last night I woke up to use the toilet and my knickers were wet, but not soaking. It wasn’t like typical discharge, it’s only a little bit each time, it was more like urine but it’s happened a few times since and I don’t think I’m weeing myself 😬 I’m hesitant to go into PAU just in case it’s the fact I’ve became incontinent so just wondering what other people’s thoughts are and how I could test if it is a leak of the waters or if it is urine? I need to do school run anyways so if I did need to go into PAU then I’ll need to wait until after that anyways… not my first baby btw :)

Our partner and I are pretty settled on giving our daughter the middle name, Margot, after my sister but I'm not sure it flows with the first name we've chosen, Matilda.
Does Matilda Margot work??
