Midwife appointment

Hi 👋. I'm just about to turn 18wks, haven't heard from my midwife yet. Don"t even know who my midwife is. Had my booking appointment and 12wk scan, having 20wk scan soon. Is it normal not to hear from the midwife? It's my first baby. Should I have had an appointment by now?

You should of had an appointment around 16 weeks, if you use badger notes all your appointments will be on there

Hey.

My midwife booked in my 2nd appointment with her at my booking app and it was sent by letter to me.

It’s only a quick appointment but maybe call the number on your pack xxx

Call up your maternity ward or contact your midwife. I had to chase my local team twice for some appointments.

Did you meet your midwife at the booking appointment? There will have been a 16 week appointment then think the next one is usually 26 weeks, but some have extra ones a bit earlier (I know I have one just after my scan as I'm high risk)

You should have future appointments lined up by. Please call the triage or check your badger notes for your midwives common office number. They may help you to sort it out.

With my first I didn’t actually meet my midwife until the 3rd trimester. Mine was off ill and no one thought about it. I was also under a consultant tho so I was less worried. I’d ring whatever phone number you have even if it is delivery suite

Is 44 to old to have a baby for a man?

Me and my partner are TTC but if we do he will be 44 by the time the baby is here. Or older if it takes a while

When did you go out of the house without your LO for the first time?

Whether is baby staying home with your partner or first date night, what was your timeline?

5 weeks and possible going to miscarry? Again!

Found out on the 1st of September with a clear blue digital which said 1-2 weeks. Today, my lines are looking lighter and again the digital said 1-2 weeks, which suggest my HCG isn’t rising as it should be😕 this will be my third loss in a row since July😪
I had a positive feeling about this one as the lines were much darker but now, they seem to be fading. I’m not coping😭 why is my body failing me? I don’t understand. I’ve not had any bleeding yet, do I have the right to be upset?

Leaking at 34 weeks?

For the past few weeks I’ve had quite strong braxton hicks, but I’ve put it down to probably doing too much at the time. Midwife appointment last week said baby’s head is engaged, which would explain why I feel so much pressure in my pelvis a lot and last night I woke up to use the toilet and my knickers were wet, but not soaking. It wasn’t like typical discharge, it’s only a little bit each time, it was more like urine but it’s happened a few times since and I don’t think I’m weeing myself 😬 I’m hesitant to go into PAU just in case it’s the fact I’ve became incontinent so just wondering what other people’s thoughts are and how I could test if it is a leak of the waters or if it is urine? I need to do school run anyways so if I did need to go into PAU then I’ll need to wait until after that anyways… not my first baby btw :)

Signs of early labour or am I overreacting?

I’m 37 weeks on Friday and I started getting lower back pain two hours ago, and some period pain. I also feel like I have to empty myself out for some reason. I’ve taken some pain relief so we will see if that helps but I’m not sure if I’m in early labour or if I’m overreacting and thinking 2+2=5, anyone feel this way recently?
