I hate my mum shes so rude and nasty. In the morning instead of a hi good morning I get yelled at for no reason. She blames everything for me and complains. I'm the only daughter she can't tolerate me. I just had a baby 2 weeks ago. She said I talk to my husband at night she can hear me. I am sure it's a house not a library. Why can't she talk politley. Always barking like a dog.

Honey, I get it! I moved out as soon as I graduated because I couldn't handle living with my mom either. Turns out being dirt poor living with roommates was way better than staying at home. I hope you can find a way out soon! Good luck making thing work until then. Things will get better eventually.
I rather live alone then suffer for the rest of my life

I live with my mum and my stepdad, I’ve got a 6 year old and I’m 30 weeks pregnant (tomorrow) we argue all the time, I have no one to talk to, when I talk to my partner about it (we are long distance) she says I’m making her look bad but will then tell anyone who will listen about it.. mainly my sister. My sister has recently said some horrid things to me because of something that wasn’t true.. I’m desperately trying to get out of the house

That sounds exhausting, especially only 2 weeks postpartum when you need calm and support, not constant criticism 🤍 You don’t deserve to be spoken to like that. I’d try to set a really clear boundary when things are calm, like “I’m happy to talk, but I’m not going to stay in the conversation if I’m being shouted at.” You’re allowed to talk to your husband in your own home and you shouldn’t feel like you’re constantly walking on eggshells. Protect your peace as much as you can right now — you’ve just had a baby and you need kindness, not more stress ❤️

Ugh I feel you. My mom constantly complains and criticizes. She has 3 other kids and I'm the baby but for some reason I can't do anything right in her eyes it's so frickin annoying
I’ve come to realise that my partner is a narcissist. I don’t know why I was blind to this before but I feel so trapped.
Our son is 18 months old. We don’t live together as his flat is too small for all of us, and he refuses to move to mine. He comes up with any excuse possible not to come over and help, and even when he does, its like he gets bored of ‘babysitting’ after only 20 minutes, while I do household chores. I never get chance to do these when I’m home alone, so on the few times he does come round, I need to make use of the time. He then blames the fact that I go to some baby classes for 1 hour, twice a week, for the reason he never gets to see his son.
Currently, we all have a stomach flu. He didn’t stay at mine last night so I was up with the baby all night. He called this morning and asked how we were. I explained I had been up all night and asked if he was coming round to help me. He said ‘I just need a few more hours sleep, I’ve only had 6 and I’m shattered’. No regard for me whatsoever?
I always thought I would end up with this guy and having more babies, but now this scares me (but I desperately want a second child). I can’t imagine him prioritising me during a c-section and allowing me to have skin to skin etc (he was not present at my first birth due to disagreements during pregnancy. Every time I said anything to him about me needing more support, he would give me every excuse under the sun and say he was ‘defending himself’). He constantly goes on about things being ‘fair’ when he’s here (as in, when our baby was a newborn, he wanted to come round and hold the baby for the whole time, as ‘this was the only time he got to see the baby’, which was his own fault and meant I missed out on this experience. He also used to come round for a few hours in the afternoon after he’d had a lie in and NEVER stayed for a night to help with the feeds😊😊😊). When it comes to Christmas and Birthdays etc he insists on being present and me making sure the plans line up with his sleep schedule etc (he doesn’t wake up until 11-12 most days and my baby is up at 6. He wants me to hold celebrations off until he is awake which is unreasonable, but then says things like ‘you always make me miss out’).
I feel so trapped. My son has my surname as a double barrel and he constantly goes on about this being unfair as baby should have the dads surname, yet he shows no interest in actually helping. When we are on good terms, he makes every excuse not to see our son, but whenever we argue he says ‘maybe we should just go to court and agree 50/50 custody’. Then we are on good terms again and he doesn’t come and see him for days/weeks at a time, and is perfectly happy to go on holiday for 2-3 weeks at a time with friends. He doesn’t even have much of an idea how to care for our sons needs so this scares me so much. When he comes to see the baby he can’t seem to keep him entertained, and always ends up putting on a show for the baby to watch. He also constantly berates me about the fact that we don’t have sex much. But I don’t understand when he thinks this is possible when the only time he is here is during the day when the baby is awake. He says he is always lonely because I don’t make the effort for our relationship.

My husband wants to go Scotland for a friends wedding. I'm guessing I'd be less than a month post partum possible couple of weeks. We have a a 5 year old.
He wants to go. I don't want him to go but I said he is an adult he needs to make the decision himself but he knows where I stand.
Am I wrong to thinn he shouldn't be travelling for a wedding that soon. He would need to be away for 2 days.

My son’s dad is just embarrassing. I get that he works but every Friday night he gets plastered drunk and then doesn’t eat well I just woke up to pump for my MOTN pump and I found my sons dad curled up on the damn dog bed with the dog passed out drunk. Like bro that’s so embarrassing, I would’ve been pissed if my son would’ve found him like that and than earlier I asked him very nicely to not start the side by side cuz it was right outside the bedroom window where our son was sleeping and what did this damn idiot do he started it which woke our son up and then he goes why would I listen to you like are you freaking kidding me. Freaking 11pm and you started a side by side cuz you’re drunk and wanna go on a ride in the woods and then he came back inside and I told him that cross gotta stop and he said I’m not allowed to get mad at him and if I continue to get mad at him than he’s gonna take away our sons new car seat. Like dude are you kidding me.

My baby is 12 months old now and I usually feed her by putting bite size pieces of food on to her tray one by one. I noticed that if I put more than one piece of food she will try put all pieces in her mouth at the same time.. 😆
Just wondering what other parents do - are you able to put a full plate of food in front of your baby and they will work away at it themselves?
