I have it it’s great, not too heavy you get used to it! but my issue is that the hood doesn’t go far down to block from the sun and it’s definitely been an issue! The black sun cover also doesn’t do the best job at blocking out the sun. It’s not safe to put a muslin over but I have to sometimes to keep direct sun out of my baby’s eyes! Just something to note :) but other than that fine to manoeuvre! I’ve heard the silver cross is good but I’ve not tested that one

I have it as a single & a double however I do drive but I definitely find it bulky and heavy it fills my whole boot and I don’t have a small car. It’s a lovely pram and so sturdy but in hindsight I’d go for something like a joolz aer, silver cross nia or yoyo basically a compact with a bassinet cause after a while you’ll probably just want a compact stroller anyway, even more so if you’re getting public transport x

When looking for a pram we found the candy quite bulky personally. Tested out the silver cross cove 2 and venicci upline 3. Ended up with the venicci. It was quite light and had all the thoughfull extras like vents and the carrycot fold:)

We have the I candy and LOVE IT 🫶🏻 so smooth to push and fits on and off of busses fine in my experience 🥰

Still use it now for my 10m/o on family walks or short trips where my toddler can walk 💕

Bottle washing

What dish soap are you using for washing your bottles? Was using NUK dish soap but went through that in no time. Fairy is making it smell so soapy, and I can’t find anything that’s unscented!

Losing friends after giving birth

I just want a rant really I think and to see if anyone else has had it. Prior to being pregnant/giving birth I had a best friend of 16 years. I was there for the birth of her first child and picked her next two children up from the hospital when they had been born. I’ve been super active in hers and their lives since to the point where I am referred to as auntie. Her eldest will text me to catch up and we had a lovely friendship. But since becoming pregnant she’s not really been there and since giving birth she’s not checked in at all. The one person who I thought would check in has effectively taken a huge step back and as much as I want to confront her about it I don’t want it to turn into a fight unnecessarily. I’m just so disappointed in her and it makes me feel like she was only friends with me as I was useful to her and now I’ve got my own family to take care of she’s fucked off out the picture. I just don’t know what to do about it all - it’s been almost 10 weeks now and she’s reached out maybe twice to ask how we are doing and other than that it’s either been to post about her kids or responding to birthday messages.

Size 2 nappies

My LB will be 5 weeks tomorrow and he currently weights about 10lb 6oz, but he is quite a long baby & we’ve just had to size up to Pampers size 2 from 1; it felt like they weren’t fitting right around his hips and kept leaking! Has anyone else reached size 2 around this age? X

Calpol before bed

(FTM) My 6 month old is currently teething. Nights are becoming super difficult but we’ve found having one dose of calpol before bed keeps him happy. Is it ok to be doing one a night? We don’t do any pain killers in the day as he seems fine without but without those distractions he’s fussy. We have tried alternatives like Bonjela and teething powder but they don’t seem to do much if anything.

Feeling awful!

I usually wake my 14 month old around 6-6.30 if I’m working in the evening at 8pm, so he sleeps on time. But he is going through a 2-1 nap transition and I let him sleep in and he woke naturally at 7.25 thinking he will have 1 long nap in the afternoon and has an early bed time. But he only had an hour sleep and of course needed a second nap which means things will just won’t work out and I have to work also. Tried to get him to have a quick bridge nap and he didn’t sleep. So we skipped the second nap and he started to crash from 6.50pm. Finally fell asleep at 7.20. I’m trying to ween him off of breastfeeding as well but I had to stop all that today and offer him the breast too. I just feel absolutely awful he stayed up for 7 hours and his little body can’t handle it. Just wanted to get it out my chest.
