Hi my 15 week old is exclusively formula fed. I am on maternity leave and my husband works ft mon-fri. I do all night feeds and changes including weekends and when my husband takes days off as annual leave. Is this normal? Who does the nights for you? My baby usually wakes 2-3 times. At weekends he will usually take her from like 7am so I can sleep an extra hour or two upstairs. Sometimes I feel annoyed that he never even offers to do a night even at the weekend but maybe it’s normal for mum to do it … I appreciate it would likely be different for breastfed babies. Thanks.

Same situation I have always done nights, but mainly because he doesn’t hear our boy and mothers instinct kicks in before he has a chance lol. I see it as he is still working and has to have that routine to make money. Whereas I have a year off to spend with our boy so it’s okay. Don’t get me wrong if I need him in the night he does get up but very rarely x

We’re the same too. I’ve always done the night feeds, he rarely wakes up to her but also with his job I’d rather him sleep. Weekends, when LO wakes up he’s always got up with her and taken her down stairs for me to sleep. Now she’s sleeping through most night be both tend to get up at the same time

Same here. My husband wakes up at 3:30 am and hes back home at 4pm. And im on mat leave. I would never ask him to do the night feeding or changing. He's our main provider atm and he needs to be rested. I can always shut my eyes during the day. We also have a toddler and he goes to nursery. I do all the school runs as im home. Saturday and Sunday husband takes toddler downstairs and I can sleep until 8 am ish.

Monday to Friday I do it all as I appreciate my husband needs to be out of the house for work. Friday and Saturday nights he always has our little one (unless he's out / has been drinking then I'll have her) and I sleep in the spare room so I have a full night of uninterrupted sleep (we combi feed so in this time I may express if I become too leaky / will just wake up in a huge puddle lol and he will bottle feed our LO). I love my Saturday morning lie ins till midday lol.

I breaatfeed at night and partner works shifts so currently on afters so works 2pm-10pm. I will get LO to sleep for 8ish then when he gets home we'll have an hour together then I'll go to sleep in the spare room and he will take the first half of the night shift so I cam get some solid sleep, then when she wakes for her feed between 3 and 5 I feed and take over because at the moment that usually means us co-sleeping till the morning for my own sanity.
It obviously looks different on nights where he will take her when we wake up for a few hours before he goes to bed.
Not figured out the best way to work earlies yet as he already gets next to no sleep that week anyway with being up at 4am 😵💫

I breastfeed and baby wakes hourly or less atm so we average 8 wakes a night. I do them all 7 days a week and have a toddler. My partner takes baby from 6am so I can have an hour and a half or so solid sleep before he leaves for work. He’s very hands on in the evenings etc and he co-sleeps with our toddler so will deal with him if he wakes x
(FTM) My 6 month old is currently teething. Nights are becoming super difficult but we’ve found having one dose of calpol before bed keeps him happy. Is it ok to be doing one a night? We don’t do any pain killers in the day as he seems fine without but without those distractions he’s fussy. We have tried alternatives like Bonjela and teething powder but they don’t seem to do much if anything.

My boys are 13 months apart. They are 9 and 8 but my 9 year old is in clothes between 10/12 and 14s depending on brand and my 8 year old is in size 8s. But I keep catching my 9 year old wear his brothers clothes then it’s a fight with him and he doesn’t want to take them off I literally have to take them off of him myself and make him put his own clothes on him.
How do I stop this?
Also they share a room and I separate their clothes the best I can.

Baby is 10 days old and cries so bad every time we change his nappy, is anyone else’s little one the same?
Is there anything we can do to try and calm him down?

Hi, my little girl (2 weeks) sleeps really well in her Moses basket but not so well in the bedside crib. Looking for thoughts on whether I should just take the Moses basket upstairs at night or whether I should push through with the bedside crib, as she’ll have to transition to it at some point anyway. Any thoughts appreciated 😊

I just fed my 5 week old some formula ( 110ml ) and normally he burps well but he didn’t so I thought it’s fine. Put him down and he kind of projectile vomited some of the milk, made me panic. I picked him up and tried to burp him, he looked so uncomfortable but eventually settled and now I’m sat up in a chair scared to pop him down! Does that happen to many of you? He’s fast asleep now snoring away ( he snores normally )
