I'm so confused about how far along i am

I went to the ER on Sunday due to intense cramps and was supposed to be 8 weeks + 4 days going off of my last period but was told that i was measuring 7 weeks + 5. It is now Tuesday, so would i be 8 weeks + 6 today or 8 weeks?

8 weeks. Your ultrasound on Sunday was effectively your dating ultrasound. It sounds like you are a late ovulator and/or late implanter, so your dating ultrasound is going to be your best tool for how far along you are.

Did they help you understand what was causing the cramps? Were they worried at all about the discrepancy between measurement and LMP?

I had a similar thing happen to me.
(Although I’m from the UK so not sure if that changes how they do things)
I was 7 weeks and 1 day, went to UC as was having cramping and bleeding, everything was fine but they said I was 6 week 3 days.
Had my 12 week scan where I should have been 11 weeks 6 days but they then said I was 12 weeks 6 days 🤷🏻‍♀️ I would go off what they say but be prepared that it may change at your 12 week dating scan x

Frustration with NHS and medical system in UK

Is anyone else frustrated with how things are done here. I’ve had a few minor issues at the end of my pregnancy and the low effort, misinformation and just general care here is terrible. (I’m European)
I’ve just had a consultant tell me don’t bother with Strep B testing. 1h later I had a private test booked and the lady was so concerned the NHS disregard this test.
I’m 37 weeks so I’d advise anyone to do it so you can get treatment.
I never get my test results for blood work send to me, I have to spend hours chasing on the phone.
They constantly mix up my appointments and I also just learned from a midwife that the urine test they do is so basic it doesn’t actually catch any infections. They check for glucose and I forgot the other thing.

I’ve done most of my scans and tests privately and will continue to do so.

I feel very uneasy to give birth and it’s stressing me out. :(

I hate getting told ‘it’s not going to get any easier’

I am having a bad day today with baby as he is being extremely fussy. I’ve been non stop crying. I went into the doctors to pick up a form and the receptionist said aww he’s so cute. I then replied he’s been a nightmare today! Then she said well it’s not going to get any easier. Thanks! Just what I wanted to hear 😐 you get told it all the time and it annoys me.
