Hi everyone, im currently 33 weeks pregnant and im booked in for a csection at 35 weeks.
Im really nervous about my baby having difficulties and needing nicu afterwards so im just wondering did anyone else have a csection this early and did your baby need to stay in the nicu? If so how long for?
Im so so scared for baby if feels way too early š

Is there a reason you having the c section so early??

Hey! I had an emergency c section at 36 weeks due to preeclampsia my little boy was luckily on a higher percentile so was was born just under 7pounds. We was super nervous too but speak to the staff and see if you can get a tour of the nicu for reassurance, luckily he didnāt need any extra help, but had to give him some formula as my milk hadnāt come in yet so Iād prepare for that xx

No C section, but my son arrived at 35+5 spontaneous labour. He did a few days in NICU for breathing, but otherwise totally healthy.

I am having a bad day today with baby as he is being extremely fussy. Iāve been non stop crying. I went into the doctors to pick up a form and the receptionist said aww heās so cute. I then replied heās been a nightmare today! Then she said well itās not going to get any easier. Thanks! Just what I wanted to hear š you get told it all the time and it annoys me.

Is anyone else frustrated with how things are done here. Iāve had a few minor issues at the end of my pregnancy and the low effort, misinformation and just general care here is terrible. (Iām European)
Iāve just had a consultant tell me donāt bother with Strep B testing. 1h later I had a private test booked and the lady was so concerned the NHS disregard this test.
Iām 37 weeks so Iād advise anyone to do it so you can get treatment.
I never get my test results for blood work send to me, I have to spend hours chasing on the phone.
They constantly mix up my appointments and I also just learned from a midwife that the urine test they do is so basic it doesnāt actually catch any infections. They check for glucose and I forgot the other thing.
Iāve done most of my scans and tests privately and will continue to do so.
I feel very uneasy to give birth and itās stressing me out. :(
