The triggering topic of jabs!

Just want to get everyone's opinions on jabs for their babies. I would never personally attack someone for their decision but I find whenever I post about this topic I always get personally attacked for having a different perspective. For reference, we as a family don't have them through personal choice, and children are thriving and hardly ever get sick!

Vaccines aren’t for stopping your children from getting ‘sick’ they’re for the big illnesses that can potentially be fatal to your child’s life if you don’t get vaccinated for them. The reason your kids don’t get sick often isn’t because you chose not to vaccinate because that’s not what the vaccines are for. The vaccinations for illnesses such as Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Meningitis exist because children have and do die when they get those illnesses.
Not a personal attack, just sayin’ 🤷🏼‍♀️

Definitely a rage bait post 🙈

End of the day I see it like you are that child’s parent and you make the decision. SIMPLE.
We did our research on them all and decided to have them but not without the research.
The problem with this world is everyone has an opinion and an issue whether you’re doing it wrong or right when really your child your choice.

Do what makes you happy and healthy! 🤍

My main issue is that people say ' I did my own research'.
But....how did you do your own research and still come to the conclusion to not vaccinate....? It's just so illogical and I genuinely dont understand how lololol also most people I know who didnt vaccinate have the silliest reasons not to 🤭

I think we sometimes forget how lucky we are that our children grow up without regularly being exposed to illnesses that used to be fatal.
Vaccinating isn’t about thinking your child should never get sick. It’s about protecting them from diseases that can cause serious complications, and helping protect babies and people who can’t be vaccinated themselves.
Measles is a good example as it can weaken the immune system, making it harder for the body to fight other infections afterwards. Which increases chances of other fatal illnesses.
The fact that we don’t see these illnesses everywhere anymore is actually a sign that vaccination works, not that we no longer need it.

The common cold is not the same as meningitis. Christ, I used to be a carer for a child who had three strokes at the age of 4 as a result of chicken pox.

I don’t care if you think I’m personally attacking you or not - I will never get behind the anti-vax movement. You are not only risking your own child’s life, but also that of other people’s children who are too young or too sick to be vaccinated. It’s disgustingly irresponsible.

Definitely with you we gave my first his jags he was late at 12 weekss old as had cold so we held off . the health visitor gave him four at once 2 arm 2 leg as had a cold so we thought big on this we are now anti vax as he cried for 4 days and took a reaction so no more for him my other two .
Or any vaccine of any kind

definitely a rage bait post. it’s not a coincidence that every antivaxxer i’ve ever spoken to says ‘ well if the jabs work then you and your kids are fine ‘ showing exactly how extensive their so called ‘research’ is 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s worrying how much people let social media influence them as oppose to scientific research and evidence.🤦🏼‍♀️ x

dont see why it matters if we vaccinate or not, id never judge anyone who chooses to vaccinate or not vaccinate. its the parents choice. vaccines arent required by law, its recommended

As a biochemist and clinical researcher of 15 years I say this…anyone who claims to have ‘done their research’ and then chosen not to vaccinate did not, in fact, do their own research.

Im vaccine critical especially in the wake of the covid scandal - i agree with the older ones and feel they're relevant but also feel they over vaccinate now! That being said I think every person is entitled to do what they want in terms of vaccines
