Finally after a veryyyy long pregnancy; due date was September 1st and baby didnāt come till September 15th! Contractions started at 10:50pm after my husband and almost 3 year old daughter went to sleep. Contractions were 2 mins apart from the start and water immediately broke after 4 or 5 contractions. I let my midwives and Doula know to come and woke up my husband. Baby was born at 1:47am in the birth pool on our back porch. My body completely took over and pushed him out on its own with FER! It was amazing. Under 3 hour labor and it felt so easy compared to my first. I was blown away to find out he was 10lbs 10oz! And I didnāt have any tears or need any stitches! My absolute dream birth. He was so worth the wait ā¤ļø

So I had a midwife appointment today and she told me off for slouching when I was waiting in the waiting room which I know doesnāt help with babyās engagement however how else am I supposed to relax, sitting upwards forward and open isnāt comfortable all day and I keep finding myself going back to bed to lay down. Iām only 34 weeks and this is my third baby - my second didnāt even engage until birth! Any tips or advice to help babys engagement but also relax and be comfortable

With my first I was inducted due to reduced movement so my partner was aware when it was all happening so he was there from the beginning but this time Iām planning a home birth so am nervous about where my partner might be, what if I canāt get hold of him⦠my mind if all over the place š what if it happens when Iām doing the nursery run and Iām 20 mins away from home, what if my partner is on a site visits for work an hour away!! I feel silly but I canāt help it!
