I had period like bleeding a few days after expecting my period. I'd had a faint positive pregnancy test so assumed I'd had a chemical pregnancy. A couple of weeks later I was experiencing symptoms so I took another pregnancy test and it was a strong positive. I went to the EPU, they did a positive urine test and took bloods to confirm pregnancy but they couldn't locate a pregnancy using a transvaginal ultrasound. I was asked to go back into hospital the following week for another blood test to decide how to manage it. As my numbers were high they said I would require surgery. They did a further two transvaginal ultrasounds that day where they were finally able to locate the pregnancy in my fallopian tube. I was immediately admitted to hospital and had surgery to remove the affected tube the next morning. If my numbers had been low enough they would have tried expectant management or an injection

Trying to make you smile 😃
Has anyone else paid for a scan and not been able to see baby’s face? My partner feels like it was a waste of money I see where he’s coming from but I’m just glad I got to hear baby’s heart beat and seeing the baby moving. What would you do?
